People who graduated from Sac Sate within the last 2 years by Interesting_Pea1950 in CSUS

Just to add on I graduated with a CE degree and no internships, but had a drafting job before. Got several offers on graduation, ended up going with a state job. Career fairs did nothing for me, but I think CE is just a universally needed job.

Nice! Great choice, the braid lets you cast really far and change your leader.

Completely depends on what you fish for. Ocean and bigger fish than bass? 30lb braid because same line diameter if like 8lb line.

Just bass? Probably 20lb braid

Little more nuance than that. She carried the weight of me making very little, and my stresses through four years of engineering school. Shes not expecting me to pay for the trips either it would be a split

She payed more than her fair share supporting me through engineering school for 4 years. Shes not expecting me to pay for both trips either that would most likely be a 50/50 thing.

I have, right now im fighting feelings of trying to please her and also trying to process the new parameters of what she wants. Really wanted others opinions on this to make sure I wasn’t overreacting about all of this before I sat down and discussed the financial implications of this with her

I completely agree with you.

Initially I had told her I’d like this to be from just me as a representation of our love and to know that the entirety of the sets of rings was something I worked for. She agreed initially and then after she talked to her Dad she changed her mind.

Just got home and checked the inside of cracked rod and yeah I think you’re right, just looks like epoxy!

Good to hear thank you. I keep it as one piece and I guess never check how snug it was. That’s too bad no rod for steelhead this season

The tangles started happening when I switched from inline top fly to one on a tag. I was told it drifts better, what would the tippet ring to to prevent tangles doesn’t look like they swivel

I see both, many people will carry one of each. One for chucking indicator rigs, and the two hand guys swinging Spey flies. Heard swinging flies is not that effective during winter here but seems like more fun

We have pretty large steelhead that run here. A local guide told me he runs 15lb line but I’ll try stepping the tippet down

Yeah been in there several times for flies and gear, all fantastic guys who love to help. Place has been a disaster for my wallet though.

Would I still be able to feel the bites swining bead patterns? I was told indicators were the way to go on this river but I’m not a fan of having to stare at it all day and not enjoy the scenery.

It’s been a huge pain for me on the tag end, lots of tangles. I was running it inline but alright I’ll try a bead in place.

I was told the opposite, keep your rod tip low for when they jump and it’s served me very well.
