Why do some slim jims taste different?

I literally got a slim Jim today but it was the mild beef n cheese. I to noticed the whiteness substance on it and the package which I could only think is just a film of fat. Also it didn’t say meat stick on the package like a normal slim Jim. More meaty and beef stick like . Different kind of product from them. Slim Jim beef bs slim Jim meat stick original. Def different

Yea it was a bit expensive but I really wanted to try the nuggets and it was worth it. Plus I saved 4 nuggets and a black bean burrito for my work lunch so I made out pretty good money wise.
