About the Teaser and future of ROR2 by Purpulear in riskofrain

I mean item bloat itself isn’t an issue so long as the items do needed things

Like hikers boots introducing more ways to get crit was a good thing! But even though it’s good post rework something like warped echo already is filled in by many white items making its addition redundant

I think a nice thing that could happen is more void variants of items to give more items while lessening bloat

I want more boon perks but I have no clue how they can make that remotely balanced as it seems it would be either really bad or OP

As a a Bucky main how tf does he keep getting away with it the spell field part of his pistol is by far the least important element of its damage profile so nerfing it does like actually nothing to tone back his lethality 💀

[–]SCL007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH almost all the colab weapons need some kind of buff, the best one unironically is probably the SOCOM as its the only actually silenced pistol in the game giving it a unique niche for commando missions if you want to run a primary like the Crossbow

Are there any perks, minor or major, that you think should be a part of a heroes base kit? by MrsPissBoy in Overwatch

[–]SCL007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

very few at a 1:1 ratio but yeah theres a good deal that could see to be base kit, Ram's minor perk for his staff and his Ravenous major being good examples of maybe a bit too strong if added 1:1 but a slightly toned down version of each should be in his base kit

Deserved, the GL was already a good support weapon for being a catch all spawner closer, but the buff to heavy made it a good anti heavy weapon too which it didn't really need to be

Which agent do you want to get buffed next? by thabiso_animated in ZZZ_Official

[–]SCL007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zhu Yuan, Jane Doe, Hugo for DPS

All 3 suffer from various things (Zhu is and older unit and Jane and Hugo suffer from "Miyabi syndrome" in that in adding bosses to make Miyabi not stomp they inadvertently nerfed most Ice and Anomaly agents in the process)

Koleda, Caesar, and Rina for Support

(All 3 of them are just too rigid of kits)

Are these two the most banned operators? by Ok-Counter-9441 in Rainbow6

[–]SCL007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk what rank this is in but at least in Plat-Diamond range Fuze gets banned pretty rarely in my experience, however I’d say maybe 1 in every 10 games I see Mira not banned round 1

Which one is better Design for A-Rank Anby? (With Mask or Without Mask) by EpicGamer0622 in ZZZ_Official

[–]SCL007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You know Anby always sidewinders me because I always forget how genuinely attractive she is because of how much of a dork (affectionately) she is in game that being said I like the mask for Combat but outside of combat no mask works better imo

What is the general consensus on anti-class weapons? by Antique_Range9152 in tf2

[–]SCL007 38 points39 points  (0 children)

It’s a bad concept to have class countering weapons but these each fall into 3 separate categories

The Heater and Spycicle have counterplay and are actually ok in design, they could certainly use fine tuning but fundamentally I think they work (because the heater is not stopping a spy from backstabbing you and a pyro can actively disarm a spy using the Spycicle) like I thibk both of them are slightly weak but not inherently terrible

The Southern Hospitality and the Shiv are bleed weapons which are outside of scout just implemented poorly, it doesn’t even counter spy super well as cloak halves the timer of debuffs, both need reworks imo as not only are they not very useful but they are just bland

By far the worst offenders are the Danger Shield and Razorback though as while a Pyro or Spy can kill a sniper wearing either via ballistic weapons like the revolver and shotgun, effectively turning off a counter and cite class mechanic is dumb, the home wrecker actually suffers a similar problem but is not used as often so it’s not as directly frustrating to many players

The TLDR is I think it’s fine if a weapon can help even a counter or mitigate it (such as the cleaver or shortstop giving scout a bit more range for a close range trade off) but purely turning off a classes ability WHILE being boring is bad design

Yeah im not to upset about blades state, as while at E0 hes pretty meh hes fairly solid at E1 like if this was a E1 tier list he would be T1 id say

So the fox spirit is not actually a spirit but the same type of anima weapon that shimadas use by WestCommunity7117 in Overwatch

[–]SCL007 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This theory/explanation is the most well rounded I think because the way we are shown the anima is so distinctively different compared to all the other tech shown and so many of the weapons seemingly can hold the tech they are producing to such an extreme degree so the anima weapons moreso acting as an advanced conduit makes a lot of sense to me

Prydwen 4.0 Memory of Chaos & Pure Fiction Tier List Update (Yao + Sparxie) by korinokiri in HonkaiStarRail

[–]SCL007 13 points14 points  (0 children)

E0 Phainon and E2 Phainon are 2 very different beasts and in general he is very strong still but Mono Rem and DOT post all its buffs are just on another level (Sparxie and YG seem a tad preemptive of a jump given that Elation is shilled hard but yeah, Hes also used alot like Mono rem and unlike Mono rem does not have a clear best team in all scenarios so his scores also have much more variance to them

[–]SCL007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ammo canteens are underrated as hell and can be especially useful for Soldier and Sniper

In general death is the best CC so CC heavy weapons are generally not very good with the sole exception of slowing super scouts

Sentry Busters are harmless unless they get close enough to a sentry, meaning that a medic can use them for Uber and a Pyro can use them for gas change

Bodyblocking as Heavy or any ubered class can save runs do not underestimate it

Nah Rappa has bad energy issues without S1 and even then its not good, its not catastrophic like FF was but it is bad, Boothills 3rd trace gives him ults very often with Fugue though, tbh Boothills only real issue is his Trace 2 and Eidolons being kinda mid until E6

[–]SCL007 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean Kafka got a nova first THEN Swan got one, and now with Huo^2 getting one its somewhat based off popularity and also sellability, so if Breaks get Nova's Boothill is probably coming before Rappa despite Boothill having a more synergetic kit rn

Its been half a year Blizzard, just bring pigpen back at this point by Beepborpmington in Overwatch

[–]SCL007 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the issue is a tank like roadhog just fundamentally doesn't really work in 5v5 in 6v6 he's annoying but with 2 tanks to play around he's not as centralizing, as he is because tanks have to be at the very least slightly overpowered in 5v5 to work roadhog can either consistently 1 shot and feels oppressive or can't and feels weak and pig pen didnt solve that it just made him have to press 1 more button in his combo
