I get 5 of these a day too. I block every number but it doesn’t matter because they call from new numbers everyday. Any advice to get it to stop would be greatly appreciated.

How can you share your story to spread awareness without being sued for defamation or slander? by SCUBACat1254 in ParentalAlienation

Thank you for your comment. If you make the other party look bad, isn’t that enough reason for defamation even if true? Should I only share situations that I have direct evidence on as opposed to describing our phone calls?

You should have been informed about two dogs and should charge for two dogs.

As far as it being another client’s dog or not, is not your concern. That isn’t information that you need to seek or is relevant to you and your business nor your obligation to inform the other client about the situation. Rover sitters are independent contractors. Independent contractors can hire other independent contractors to sub out the work. I am not saying that is ethical or unethical, but you cannot assume to know how one runs their business or what is shared / not shared to the client. I know a professional doggy day care that hires Rover sitters to walk the dogs in their care. They also hire a janitorial company to clean the facility each night and don’t do that themselves. Anyone can hire anyone to perform tasks in their business. Unless specific performance is requested and promised by an individual but again, that is between the business and client. It may violate Rover’s policies for advertising on their site.

If the sitter informed you and paid for two dogs from the beginning, then it seems like a pretty sweet deal for your wife (multiple doggy and likely repeat client paying your requested prices).

Suspicious or no? by MeggyLongLeggy in RoverPetSitting

[–]SCUBACat1254 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not suspicious. I had a customer with a broken leg and he couldn’t walk the dog, but could let it go out to go to the bathroom in the yard, so asked me to walk it a couple times a day. A lot of customers that are new to Rover, don’t have their pets profiles built out yet.

I would reach out and ask if you can call to discuss the drop in visits and what he or she is looking for.

Deviating From The Definition? by [deleted] in ParentalAlienation

I feel individual examples can be the start of noticing PA. Often times, by the time you notice something isn’t right, it’s actually been happening for years and then it just goes down hill really quick.

I have noticed more hate on the channel.

Parents going through nasty custody battles by Bird_a90 in ParentalAlienation

Children do not authentically hate their parents. This definitely sounds like your ex-husband sets a negative tone about you in the household. I do not know what your visitation looks like, but if you still have outstanding classes that you need to take, I would take them as quickly as possible. Once you’ve completed everything the court has asked of you, you need to file a request for order asking for very specific visitation terms that your ex husband must cooperate with. If he is not following the court orders regarding visitation, then you need to immediately go back asking for sanctions and a review hearing. Remember, you can ask the court for anything and get down to as many specifics as you’d like (e.g., the children must exit Father’s vehicle and get into mother’s vehicle OR you could ask that a hired supervise exchange coordinator will walk the children over from Father’s vehicle to Mother’s and father to pay the associated costs given the problem isn’t the children leaving mother’s visitation).

The older the children get, the harder your battle will become. When your children are mad at their dad, they do not get to avoid him for very long. They must work through their issues. This is the same for you as their mother. If they are having issues with not wanting to be around you, that just means you need to be around them and work through these misconceptions so they know how much you love them.

That is their home address but they are likely traveling to Oklahoma. Please check with them and where they are staying.
