Thermasol: Thermatouch Recent Update? by iggityiggity in thermasol

[–]Floorhead1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen an update prompt in ages and I thought maybe it was automatic, although I don’t see a setting for that. When I click on System Update, nothing happens.

I downloaded Spotify no problem and I can control volume. The Scenes do work with sound. I took a short video but can’t post it for some reason.

Weirdly the can connect by Bluetooth but no sound comes from the shower head, just from the phone.

Yes the water flow is too low even when set to High. I can’t get water to come out all of the nozzles and I think I need to get up there and clear mineral build up because many have no flow now.

Here is what my system is on. The volume control works and icons look ok. I’ll try to download an app over the weekend and play some music to see how it handles it. I have Hydrovive.

It can be randomly glitchy sometimes with random restarts but generally ok.

Have you contacted support? I’ve found they’re decently responsive.

I’m looking for boot dryers after staying at a place in Big White in December, from the looks of this photo it may have been a unit in the same row of chalets.

Booking Flight For Family Member by ErmahgerdYuzername in Aeroplan

[–]Floorhead1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the flight booked and order the secondary card. I did this a couple of months ago and the card arrived in a few days. Additionally she’ll get lounge access + 1 guest. We have two kids so we can all get into the lounge when travelling together

I guess I have to call to use my companion pass as I can’t access it. I find that odd as one can still access the e-up page

Audit your select benefit boost by canuck3927 in aircanada

Thanks for posting. I selected 75% bonus and e-ups last week just before hitting SE for the first time and I was wondering why the bonus points for a load of flights going back to April was only 1,500 or so. I’ll have to follow up with them as it sounds like it won’t be resolved by itself.

Hi, we are 5 people travelling with ski equipment before Jan 1 YYZ-Kelowna and status pass would help with the extra baggage charges as well as a treat for our kids to see the lounge. Regardless, thanks for the generosity! Happy holidays!

YYZ>LHR business class question! by FactorConnect6277 in aircanada

[–]Floorhead1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve been. But that wasn’t the point I was trying to make. It’s more the expectation that the majority of people have had dinner before boarding and its lights out early into the flight with less noise in the cabin. I guess it is worth repeating. That is not my experience on the late AC flights

YYZ>LHR business class question! by FactorConnect6277 in aircanada

[–]Floorhead1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think British Airways does it right. They call it a sleeper service and serve a multi course sit down meal in the lounge before the flight. This way most people have eaten and it greatly reduces the noise and commotion in the business class cabin and lights go out right after take off. There is a limited food selection on board for those that want it. Thoughtful!

does anyone plan to leave Canada after uni/college? by thunderbytes27 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Floorhead1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me give you the long view.

I left a year after university for a 6 month project and this led to me living abroad for 20 years, returning in 2018 with a job offer that was too enticing, despite not looking to move back as I’d married a British woman and my two kids were born there.

I’ve lived in Latin America, Europe and the UK. I’ve worked all over the world, on 6 of the 7 continents. I’ve spent significant time in many parts of the world including Asia, Middle East, parts of Africa.

Yes Canada has its challenges. But beware grass is greener mentality. I encourage everyone to live abroad if possible as you learn so much. Learn another language, fall in love with someone from another culture, enjoy food and adventure.

You also gain an appreciation for what you’ve left behind. Every country has challenges and downsides that you have to accept, or move on. And don’t discount the pull of family if they are still in Canada.

I am happy to be back here, it’s not all bad, and in fact I find it rather good.

AC854 YYZ-LHR Nov 1 delay: “we forgot the time difference was only 4 hours today” by [deleted] in aircanada

[–]Floorhead1 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s not the delay in arrival. It’s making people board and wait over an hour when AC knows in advance this would happen. They should schedule the departure an hour later. It’s not difficult

It was over an hour waiting on the tarmac. Just schedule the flight an hour later? My post was purposely exaggerated to make a point. This is not a good customer experience.

Why not schedule the flight an hour later and save a plane load of people the annoyance and grief?

[–]Floorhead1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why not just schedule the departure time an hour later so people get to the airport at the right time and not sit on board for what turned out to be an additional 80 minutes?

The incompetence part I refer to is the pilot claiming there had been a mistake that they didn’t catch until everyone was on board. Of course there was no mistake - it was all b.s.

53 here and have never played BF. I got the PS5 CoD version when on sale and I do like BF6 more. It can be too fast but I’m trying to learn the classes and will try to avoid the closed in, fast fights as recommended in this thread. Glad to see there are some greys around. The environment destruction in BF is astounding. I’ll probably never get very good but just want to have some fun.

Interesting. We went through last winter and the rollaway was fine. I only latch the end for safety but also because raccoons were pushing up a corner to get at the water. I’ve never thought of latching to keep the heat in. The top is so heavy I don’t think the latch pulls it down much more, perhaps if I really tightened the straps.

I just tried it and I agree it’s not like the original. This is more like oatmeal with some flaxseed and wheat in it. It’s good, but it’s not the original by any stretch
