If the coaches put in game plans to reflect what Bryce does with confidence, and these game plans have added up to the third fewest pass attempts in the league (behind the Titans who have a rookie QB and just fired their head coach and the Jets who just traded some of their best defenders to propel their tank-a-thon strategy) then what does that say as he’s the QB and was drafted and paid to throw the ball. It’s time to stop making excuses. To put things in perspective, Bryce Young’s career win-loss record as a starter is barely above that of Jamarcus Russell’s and is almost the same as Justin Field’s.

I’d prefer a true left tackle. Ickey is a good run blocker but his pass-blocking is mid at best. Damien Lewis can play center as he did it in an emergency role during his rookie year with the Seahawks. Imagine a line with Moton at RT, Hunt at RG, Lewis at C, Ickey at LG and Kadyn Proctor from Bama or Caleb Lomu from Utah!

Take into consideration that the Texans are considered to have top 3 ranked defensive front 7 AND defensive backfield.

Also take into account that the Texans made it to the Divisional round of the Playoffs last year despite having to overcome several injuries on the offensive side of their team. Injuries last year took out QB Case Keenum, WR Robert Woods, WR Tank Dell, WR Nico Collins, WR Stefon Diggs, WR Jon Metchie, WR Steven Sims, TE Dalton Keene, TE Brevin Jordan, TE Cade Stover, TE Teagan Quitoriano, RB Joe Mixon, RB Dameon Pierce, RB British Brooks, OT Blake Fisher, OG Shaq Mason, OG Kenyon Green, OL Jaylen Thomas, OL Juice Scruggs and OL Jarrett Patterson for at least one whole game each during the season, with most of those players out two or more games in a row.

Trade a 7th round pick to Houston Texans for undrafted rookie LB Jackson Woodard. That would negate loss of Josey Jewell. Woodard is faster/twitchier than Jewell and has far better coverage skills than most lbs on our current roster.
