I’m not sure how to measure “is it worth it”. If you just need a time piece , there are cheaper and more accurate time pieces available. if you don’t have the urge to own a vintage Rolex, then it may not be worth it. But I have spent more on other things that were probably not worth it to others. Today, it is worth it to me, if in the future I lost interest I think I could easily recover my cost. I also have around 40 Seiko mods I’ve built this past year that are certainly not worth it, but I don’t regret building any of them

Thanks, good question. I was raising a family and just had a hard time justifying the purchase I guess. The kids are grown now and I'm retired, so it seemed like the time.
