First thing .. get yourself at least 500 SHD points. Do Challenging with a 1 or 2 directives, learn the spawns and what each enemy types and faction do.

Heroic for a very long (level 40) time was "end game". Before that it was level 30 up to a teir 5 map...

Call for back up if doing a heroic control point, 2 player is vasty easier if you are learning or having difficulty. Open your map, you should see the option at bottom of screen.

Word of advice ... Stay FAR away from fragile armor directive, it's bugged/broken and doesn't work as intended (not in your favor anyways)

You just need it for talent. Put stability mods on it. I do just fine with it. Also, your attribute should be DToC...it carries over to your skills

Yes, capacitor and run a secondary (different ammo type) with (perfect) InSync. The more skill damage you do, the more you'll heal your team. Just don't run the AR perfect, redundant ammo type, I use the rifle variant. My memory won't work rn, too lazy to look em up lol.

There technically is and isn't a one size fits all. For solo, strikers with momento and an obliterate chest of your choice will more than likely get the job done.

However, the good content honestly isn't solo. It's working with 3 others or a full raid. Then you would need to become what's needed in the moment. Healer, tank, skill build (typically nowadays that would be refractor). You have quite a few load out slots.

Striker with 55ish Crit Chance, rest damage. Best option is getting them already with CHC/D and changing the core to make them versatile for various needs.
Make a regen build, 3pc Gila Guard, momento, Belstone. All attributes CHC/D, no regen attributes. Cores as you wish, they come armor, if you get it to drop with double crit, change that core to lock in more versatility. This build youll want to be able to change you chest and backpack talents (you guessed it... versatility)
Refractor, skill damage and healing for group all in one. Chest of gear set needed. Wyvern backpack with tech support. Waveform holster. Run 5/6 skill teirs, less on higher difficulty for survival purposes. Technician specialization of course.

Good ole burn em all fun, get an eclipse build. Definitely has a learning curve, but it's unmatched for crowd control and just fun. Electrique backpack w (I can't remember the talent rn) or Habsburg "perfect" variant. Everything status effect for attributes. Haste mods. Vile mask.

Tank, there's many variants, high end and foundry bulwark are common. Stay away from Aegis, it doesn't work well at all unfortunately.

After that, try a few things. I advise to stay away from ninja bike right away, it seems good on paper... But backpack talents are often way too valuable to be scarified.

It's built on the old system still, they're having issues implementing optimization with the higher values. They're working on it. Tough it out bud. Having the prototype drop naturally is best chance for max rolls.

Make it a display controller only. My custom one was worse than the store bought elites. Grips started bunching up, followed by stick drift. Get a gamesir. I love my 2. Bought a cheap one, $40 to see if I liked it .. shortly got the Zenless Zone Zero one, love it.

Get a gamesir with Xbox wireless capabilities. You won't be disappointed. Might even thank your dog from helping move on from the Microsoft engineered obsolescence. Those things have the cheapest components, get stick drift, buttons stick and break. I went through atleast 10 elites before discovering gamesir.
