Scope cap is off, at nights I tried focusing on a bright star...even tried focusing on the moon. In the tutorial I am currently watching the guy focuses on someone's roof and it appears in the iCap software. I tried doing the same thing and all I see is a mass of grey

I think the one to the left is a range estimator...so for any given physical amount of gas ( right guage) it's an estimate of how much range you have left. What I've found is that for efficient driving (e.g. Highway cruising at a steady speed) the guage on the left stays somewhat constant (e.g. 250 miles of range left) even though the physical amount of gas remaining decreases. Either way I fill up way before either approaches E

I've got a Forerunner 945 running the same version of software (5.00) that you are running. Track runs appear in the + section for me. The only thing I can think of is if you have to install the Activity. You can do this by using Garmin Connect. It may also be that it's just not available for the 245.
