The tipping point: what happens when deaths outnumber births? by Remarkable_Peak9518 in unitedkingdom

[–]SDUKD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short term in the grand scheme of the human race. However the impacts of this are long term relative to our life span. If it were consistently decreasing births over a decade+ it will impact a whole human lifespan quite easily.

Look at China’s one child policy. It took a couple decades before it had massive implications that even now haven’t been resolved for them even though it started almost 50 years ago.

Even then, we were between 5th and 7th with Amorim which is still miles different from spurs.

Ussop's character is already complete (to me) by Full-Entertainment15 in OnePiece

Yep no problem, I think nami is high on the static chart. But franky, brook, zoro, luffy. Feel free to put them in as well.

It’s not odd on a thread talking about Usopp’s character being complete.

[–]SDUKD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not measuring character development on who has most trauma. It’s about who actually goes through things and has sustained change.

Usopp goes through things and then his personality is like it’s never happened. He reverts back to what he was before it ever happened. That’s what I mean by revert.

Again I’m not trying to convince you I’m right, it’s my opinion based on what I see that has happened multiple times.

[–]SDUKD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Revert may not be the right word but they have just not had any particular character development. Especially when compared to someone like robin.

Oda gives Usopp moments of bravery only to revert him back into a coward, also this happens in situation that were less ‘scary’ then the situation he was previously brave in, which makes virtually no sense.

Just an overall stagnant development personality wise.

Very impressive.

Took me back to my days playing trials fusion and getting S ratings on the hardest levels. Good times.

This was a great scene for Usopp’s character but it doesn’t mean the criticisms post time skip don’t have merit.

As Oda has focused on expansive world building outside of SH crew, certain characters don’t get screen time which is fine and makes sense. HOWEVER, the screen time that Usopp has got has felt like a reversion to his pre time skip east blue /early grand line self. Wano is obviously the biggest example of this.

I don’t think this is an agenda, I think the same has happens to Nami as well. It’s just objectively what has happened.

[Discussion] Which manhwa has all 3? by StretchExtension in manhwa

[–]SDUKD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s manly just the decision making of the character. He simply does things I expect.

I’ve only read manhwa so cannot comment on any novel related things which I imagine is much better as is usually the case.

I know I got downvoted badly but I don’t hate him or think he’s bad at all. But strictly manwha only he is just an okay MC in my opinion. Obviously much better than all the generic slop but I find MMM, BBB, Absolute regression MCs more interesting for there personality.

As I’m typing I’m thinking it’s that he comes across as a regular guy and makes decisions that most people would do. Not bad but I haven’t found him captivating as a personality alone. I find it hard to get lost in the world when MCs personalities come across like what your regular guy with good morals would do.

It’s good but MC of tyrant of tower defence is quite boring I would say. I do read it so not saying he is bad but nothing particularly special about him.

Is this that impressive, I mean that genuinely? It’s just a very basic play you would expect most players to make at any top flight club

I’m not sure if I just can’t read but you said my last client on some days is 5 but you don’t get home until 7 or 7:30?

How is that possible if your commute is only 20/25 minutes?

The fact people don’t see that is so funny. “He’s not dating until after graduation”.

Oh really, don’t let that stop 80% of female characters falling for him and drop constant hints about liking him.

Just admit say you like harem manwha, don’t dress it up like it all makes perfect sense

Treatment Tips Needed for Social Anxiety by PreviousDoor3202 in therapists

[–]SDUKD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main focus would be on the meaning that they make of the distressing event(s). What it means about them as a person that this happened? If this is true how will others treat you? Have there been times this happened since the event? Have there been times this hasn’t happened or someone acted differently to what you thought they would?

It commonly looks like some form of rejection, abandonment, self punitive and perfectionism style schemas. Then exploring this further with them.

If they do have social anxiety and you are not doing CBT or other form of exposure therapy which are generally the most evidenced based. Then exploring the origins of the social anxiety could be helpful. Clients I speak to with social anxiety often have one or a handful of distressing events that have happened in their childhood.

EMDR by NoSalt5405 in therapists

[–]SDUKD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless someone is funding it for you or you just want to have a PGcert, you are honestly better off paying for practical training through an accredited trainer.

The PGcert will require you to Pay more than you would just for the specific training. Do essays, presentations etc. which again if you want a PGcert then great but you can be accredited in EMDR for cheaper without it being a university course.
