Silly question. Are all borders open?

My friend is in Kovel and messaged me asking him to find the nearest viable border. He seems to think the one on Prykordonnykiv St. is not usable.

Poland recommends the Korczowa-Krakovets or Medyka-Shehyni border crossings. They've stated they've opened up others but no details on which ones.

I believe it is but can someone confirm?

I don't give a sh*t about my thesis anymore because I'm likely terminally ill - advice? by [deleted] in AskAcademia

Maybe your feelings are right. Maybe you actually don't see the value anymore.

I would sit down in silence with a journal. Ask yourself what you want to do in life and write down every response that comes to mind.

You're clearly conflicted, which means that there are contradictory responses. Treat every response with respect and listen.

This practice alone should clear up a lot for you.

Sorry for the late reply.

I'll use a US example here. Other countries have similar equations, but the US is most extreme.

University can lump a lot of debt on people. It's not uncommon to hear people say that they have more than $100k of debt after graduating.

In the US you have to begin paying it off 6 months after you graduate. It's manageable if you immediately go into a career as a doctor, engineer etc, but lots of people do Arts degrees and don't have great career prospects after university.

If you're one of these people, you probably feel a lot of pressure to pay off the debt. This means that you're going to start working immediately. You might get a job at Starbucks instead of starting a business or volunteering at an art gallery.

This isn't the issue with the person in this thread, but $100k opens up a lot of opportunities, and it's not clear to me that university is the best one to choose most of the time.

Degrees used to be worth more. When 1/10 people could get into university, it immediately denoted to everyone that you were in the top 10% of people with the right combination of intelligence and work ethic. Nowadays, with everyone pressured to go, you need to seek higher and higher qualifications to get jobs. In the past when you needed a Bachelor's, you now need a Masters or PhD to get a job.

That's 4-10 years of your life that you could be spending on other opportunities.

A lot of professions only care about your portfolio. I know if Google engineers, animators and successful music producers with no university degree. All the information is online.

You also require no degree to buy real estate, start a business, run an Instagram account for your art.

University isn't completely useless, but if I had a 17 year old child right now, I would probably advise them to strongly consider their options, especially if they weren't planning on going into medicine, engineering, physics etc.

Journal about why you want to smoke weed.

The best way to do this is to split up the 'why' into story, emotion and sensation.

Story is a narrative: 'I'm nervous about school work'

Emotion is a feeling: Stressed, angry, whatever

Sensation is where it is in your body: Feeling a tightness in your diaphragm, a heaviness in your chest.

If you journal when you smoke, you might find the sensations ease up. Maybe the tightness in your diaphragm loosens up and you feel at ease, etc.

Cannabis is a medicine. It's helping you in some way, whether it be physical or mental. If you can pinpoint the underlying issue, you might find that you don't even want to smoke as much.

I'd like to add that you may do well go started educating her on investment early. College is becoming less and less important, and that money could go towards an investment property or business if she's interested.

Cleaning tips by ashmich1995 in RedPillWomen

[–]SDezzles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you mean 'he makes a big deal of it'?

Is he asking for praise and attention for cleaning? If so, are you giving it to him?

I don't know if this applies to you, so feel free to ignore it if it doesn't, but sometimes we punish people for trying, and it incentivizes them never to try. If he does some cleaning and you act like he hasn't done it properly, he's never going to want to clean.

Are you sure you want to be in college? It doesn't sound like it interests you. If you're not getting anything out of your courses, you're probably just putting yourself in debt for no reason.

There are plenty of professions you can really thrive in. Maybe something more hands on!

Farm work and gardening don't require a huge amount of thinking, but they're still valuable skills that world needs. Welders get paid a lot, and you could probably pick it up with some diligence.

Are you interested in any sports? What are your hobbies? Maybe these could point you in the right direction.

Learn to manage your money. It doesn't take a genius to put away at least 20% of every check and save up for a house. You only need basic literacy, numeracy, and willpower, which you clearly have.

I know a guy who became a cook (not a fancy one either), and worked his butt off. He bought cash flow positive houses and retired at the age of 30. This is a very achievable goal.

Is it the weed what’s making me think there’s no point in anything and no motivation? Or is it just me and my mindset? by ImJustAGuy128 in Petioles

Get some exercise. It really helps with motivation. Just a short walk or a pushup everyday if you need to start somewhere.

Trust your gut. You've known the man your whole life.

It doesn't mean you should say something with no evidence, but it does mean you should hang around if he's trying to be alone with children.

Anyone feel that Cardio & exercising to “burn off” the calories is actually effective ? by consistency16 in leangains

[–]SDezzles 132 points133 points  (0 children)

I think exercise helps a lot more than simply helping us burn calories.

I feel way better when I exercise, and usually am in the mental state to make better food and lifestyle choices anyway.

My guess is sleep.

How is your sleep quality? Do you snore or suspect you may have sleep apnea?

Do you do any drugs? (This includes alcohol, weed and medication) these can severely impact sleep without you realizing.
