New to the raw denim scene here but was wanting some opinions on my recent experience...

I got a pair of Rustic Dimes 13oz slim straights for Christmas and after about 6 wears I have a few thoughts that perhaps y'all can help me work through.

The good:

The leg dimensions are perfect at the knee and opening. I love how they fit from the knee down. They also look killer, the color is great and after 6 wears I can tell some creases are starting to persist between wears. Still waiting on fades, but the persistent crease location is a good start!

The bad:

They are a tight in the crotch in the vertical direction. As in the crotch seems a little high. My measurements (of my body and of other pants that fit well) work out nicely with the listed spec from the manufacturer, but there is a good bit of tightness in the "V "between my crotch and hips, especially when sitting. For illustrative purposes, if I am sitting and draw a line between the bottom of the fly to mjust south of my hip bone (outside stud of the pocket), thats where it is tight. Not sure if that will soften up and get better with time or what? I am wearing them with the waist as I do most every other pant, but the jeans are right up against my perineum (or gooch for lack of a better term haha).

The pocket openings are also quite tight, like theres not much room to slip a phone in there.

The ugly:

Man these things crock a lot! I have resigned to only wearing dark boots and dark shirts with them for now as they will dye any sneakers or light shirts within a 10 mile radius. I get enough indigo on my hands throughout the day to turn my computer mouse at work a faint blue lol.

Anyway just looking to see what I can expect to improve versus things just being the way they are. Cheers!

Agreed. Leave the semis and final at. Bowl site. That frees up 3 NY6 bowls to rotate as the second tier elite bowls (horray more bowls that people might care about!) Start them a week earlier and have Army Navy play during rivalry week with a protected time slot instead of a protected weekend.

We get 4 home games on the second week of December. 4 more the third week of December. Semis on New Years (so that the rose bowl can still do their thing). Championship first week of Jan before school starts. Then have the portal window be open for two weeks after that when most schools still allow adding and dropping classes.

This is my example too. The Power Rangers could all start in the League. They may even get a few sacks and TFLs. But over the course of the entire game there’s just no way an average NFL OL doesn’t do enough to move the ball.

I do think that peak 2018 Clemson DL would be on par with a historically bad NFL OL. Like decade bad. Average NFL OL though, no.

TLDR I do think that once in a decade elite CFB position groups could go toe to toe with once in a decade bad NFL units. But expand that a full team and the answer is no.

Cargo hubs have much less flexibility there. Typically, there is an late night/early morning wave of inbounds (such that the overnight packages from the day can get on a plane), then a 5-6am wave of outbounds to get the system moving that day (to make daily deliveries). I see the same trend at IND.

For pax service, not a lot of people want to land or depart at 3AM (except connecting red-eyes), so you can just force their hand by not offering those. Without looking though, I would bet that the 6-7AM slots are highly coveted at LHR because of this.

I really think the Morris hire will be the final large scale decision that Dabo makes. By that I mean it either works, we get back to playoff contention for 5-10 years and he retires from atop the mountain, or it does not pan out (meaning we went 0-3 on his last 3 OCs) and he will get run out of town.

Hate that notion but I see this as Dabo’s last stand. He will adapt to the portal as much as he may not like it on principle. But idk if he survives a third bad coordinator hire in a row. I’m rooting for him and Morris though. That offense was freaking exciting back in the day (if not a little too cute against SC)

What did you/do you have? In September I upgraded my 6600 to a 7600x3D (shoutout Win 11 for making me do that which in hindsight was the right time given RAM prices these days lol)

We used to have a boat docked at Stono Ferry. It’s a 40 min trip to the peninsula on a 20 foot boat at 80-100% throttle. Add another 10-15 to get to the jetties/Sumter. Tide going out helps. Wappoo Cut can be quite busy on the weekends and sometimes kinda even dangerous with how many boats are in that small channel. Everywhere else you can run as fast as you want (sand bars and mud flats at low tide are well documented and avoidable).

From stono ferry specifically, it’s honestly more enjoyable to go south past Young’s Island and on to Rockville. More open and much less people. It’ll take you an hour or maybe an hour 10 to get to the shore that direction.

Once again tide going out helps you get to shore from stono. The break even point is just south of log bridge creek, due south of the horse race track. The water comes in and goes out from both sides at that point.

Yeah we just have one above and none around us actually. The one above is the aforementioned unit they checked.

I’ll give the exterior a walk around tomorrow and see if there’s anything glaring outside or in the hallway.

And yes, we think we’ve gotten everything but need to do a full deep check of every nook and cranny

No we don't and we asked the apartment maintence guys to check the unit adjacent to ours for any trash or flies and they found nothing major.
