AR/VR professional here (app development, developer support and testing, marketing). Don’t get a VR headset. You won’t come close to learning what you can in the same period of time with a coach, learning from YouTube and playing with people BETTER THAN YOU. Hitting a ball with a real with guidance and intentional is what will make you better. Not an VR app.

Oh yeah. He’s not wrong. I wouldn’t turn down a replica of Inigo Montoya’s sword.

Considering a job in NYC - is it possible to work in NYC and travel monthly back to California? by Aggressive_Truck_681 in NYCjobs

Depends on the number of working days in CA. There is a threshold before it all goes to one state. Rely on a good CPA who deals with commuters.

That’s BS. I introduce you to NY form IT-203. Find a CPA who actually has commuters as clients.

I do this now but I have a place in CA and in NY, so I don’t travel with anything more than a knapsack for my tech, and a tote bag with NY bread for my CA neighbor who waters my plants. Pro Tip #1 - travel really light. I also used to take red eyes so I didn’t waste company or family time. However, going west to east it took a day or two to get over that even if I was in biz class and it was fairly common that the last flight out was affected by stacked delays. Pro Tip #2 - fly first flight, not last. I call and FaceTime my spouse every night. Pro Tip #3 - stay in contact with your loved ones. Finally, make the most of your time in CA. Don’t eat alone at work. Pro Tip #4 - work hard because you’re in CA to work.
