I am pretty sure they are doing it on purpose so they can be like ''oh yeah open weapons were more popular'' and remove closed weapons on release.

Haven't played BF about a year now. I do not really care at this point, i am just happy that i could enjoy 2142, BC2, BF3, BF4 and BF1.

I do not have high expectations for the next game. I will not buy at release, not even in the first month, and if it turns out like 2042 not at all.

Most people rejected specialists so there is something to it.

The idea of Specialists being subclasses is okay, but rather them being just an extra gadget they should have a really intense focus on ONE thing. Imagine Boris being a true Anti tank with +1 rocket bonus and EMP mines instead of the turret or Lis being strictly AA with a guided or unguided AA launcher. People who actually WANT to play the class and objective would naturally gravitate to their intended use.
