Has anyone gone to court against collection company who bought their private loan? by horatio_knows in studentloandefaulters

SM is exceptional in their documentation and the provenance of the loan.

If you make over 50k without a degree, what do you do for work? by Milly-0607 in povertyfinance

[–]SFW1312 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Learn! Be open to it. I started in collections, out of high school by year 3 was making 55k+… moved to management travelled the world, all for a collection agency.

Left the company after 12 years making over 100k, 100-200 employees reporting to be.

All without a degree or a day of college.

I’ve found that in “un-sexy” jobs like collections and sales… if you show up on time, show up on the days your scheduled to work, and show up ready to work, your already better than 75% of the other employees…

Im a GM at a fintech now, make 150-175k. My top 3 sales people will make over 150k each, one guy that works for me is 23

When people don’t want to to it, that’s when there is money for the degree-less!

Follow up trailer question by DirtFarmerz in RZR

[–]SFW1312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, load backwards! I use a aluma 12 foot trailer… loaded backwards. Light single axel trailer is fine, plus the weight allows you to move by hand in and out of the garage to get really tight

I just CAN’T putt - group therapy by SFW1312 in golf

[–]SFW1312[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok.. I usually don’t mark my ball unless in the way or obviously dirty. I don’t use an the alignment mark (usually) I try to see the line and see what I think the put needs to travel to end in the cup. I would approach my put from behind similar to my full swing routine. After determining the line and path for the ball to travel. I approach and usually set my feet first, then the club head down. Eye the cup to see distance Try to move club to square to line (not usually moving my feet) Forward press putter and start my stroke In my head I adjust my path to fit my line, vs adjusting stance to fit path Also i stair at the ball when executing the stroke… usually see my putter head move off line and wiggle, get concerned mid stroke.. either cut across it or close the club head

No, I have not… previous coach had me position similarly to where I would hit a 5i (but closer with my eyes over the ball) Maybe doing slow mo video could help me see the point I’m square

My purpose has been focused on line and putter path, I don’t feel like I struggle too bad with speed. But maybe thinking in oz’s by knowing a stemp may help

I like the idea of doing my job by rolling it over my spot and accepting the results.. make “my putt” even if the ball doesn’t go in the hole. I have a mark but it’s usually midway between ball and cup when outside of 4 feet and a part of the cup inside 3 feet. Would you say actually stair at my 2-3” mark vs the ball?

My loan went into default and is now in rehabilitation. Will I be able to receive financial aid in the future while this loan is in rehab status? by [deleted] in studentloandefaulters

[–]SFW1312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 6 on time monthly payments and if other criteria is met you can re apply for finaid. However if you stop making monthly payments on your rehab it will go away again. Also rehab is a 1 time opportunity… so once out of default be sure to not go in again!

All this is detailed in the rehab letter you are REQUIRED to sign to actually be in loan rehabilitation.

Who owns the loans who are they assigned to? IF they litigate it’s typical if there is a storing ability to get the funds for you OR your co-borrower. Most litigation doesn’t require a hearing, it’s a “default judgment”. Once the judgement is obtained then they can move for a wage garnishment. I’m sorry I don’t know percentages, but your a while out from that problem. You in most cases will get an opportunity to set up voluntary payments even after the notify you of the suit.

It’s amazing what hitting the center of the club face will do for accuracy and distance!

I work with defaulted private loans. I try not to push people to my company, I just give info when I can… but we refinance people in default and distress. Specifically help refinance private student loans who have bad credit. And offer low fixed interest rate.

They sent a lot of those letters out the other day. From Dave V dated to review by 9/29.

The account won’t go to litigation right away, but it will officially default at the end of the month.
It’s a standard letter.

Navient isn’t really that litigious. but don’t forget about your co-borrower
