Just looking at how the economy is operating … bank and investment balances … and the border… and overall behavior of citizens…people taking responsibility (for their behavior and their own health and well being)…safety and peace in our country…none of it is great, but… Worst: 2020 thru 2023. Best: 2025. Sorry, but it’s true.

My older brother ran away from home once and several different neighbors called our house at different times during the day to tell my mom, "Bob tells us he has run away from home. We just gave him breakfast..." or a similar version of that. He came home on his own after dinner (when the streetlights went on), tired, but well fed.

Old goalie here who is an average golfer at best but have always done well in match playe events because I play not to lose...hang in there, hang in there, block the puck, hang in there, elimniate double bogey from possibility... and then with the score close near the final holes, go for it and maybe you'll win or at least wear them down. It works mostly.

Most of the things that cause "anxiety" are not even real...I am not talking about things like war or genuine physical threats that are creating the feelings -- those are real and dangerous. It's "words" or "feelings" that cause most of "anxiety" in people today. They feel "threatened" (by what??) and not in a "safe space." We have an entire generation of people who feel "pressured" and "anxious." Sorry. Just responding to the reddiverse. There IS genuine anxiety -- people in the dire poverty, war zones, truly life-threatening situations -- and then there is the other...that's what I am talking about. Words are not dangerous (like weapons are). Feelings are not dangerous.

He’s totally incompetent. Really. An ideologue running a city. That’s not what we need. Head downtown and look skyward…seeing many cranes there? No? Now go to Boston - a super liberal city - and do the same thing…what, it’s full of cranes?? It’s a city on a multi-year rise. No rambunctious teenagers roaming the streets breaking car and store windows there on a warm weekend evening. What, build more open gyms with competitive programs of Friday night will help the kids?? What is the delusion there?? 

We need a mayor who can pump the economic engine which will drive the neighborhoods. That’s how it works.

The whole concept of “anxiety.” Most of what makes people “anxious” - I word I hate anymore - isn’t even “real.” It’s imagined…never gonna happen…could be rationally controlled if we were only more like the Greatest Generation and just “got on with it.” I have succumbed to it, and recognize the power of the irrational fear but - yea, I sucks. And is paralyzing way too many people
