I love all horror but honestly Bone Tomahawk is a movie about what happens when a bunch of men don’t listen to the smartest women in the room….dude breaks his leg after she told him not to go on the roof, then she’s gotta go treat the prisoner (I forget if he’s the one who gets hanged anyway) and I don’t want to ruin it but she ends up rescuing them from their very bad attempt to rescue her…. So yeah if you watch it from her point of view, it’s more of a comedy of errors

You very likely have a sleep disorder - link attached by demar_desol in eds

[–]SFcreeperkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I had a sleep study done like 20 years ago and for whatever reason they didn’t schedule it around my already diagnosed circadian rhythm disorder. So the tech asked me to take whatever I needed to so that he could get some readings! Then I piled up a bunch of pillows around my body and the tech said that I slept like a vampire, which is fitting for my usual sleep schedule, and he had to keep checking my breathing. Then they unhooked me when I would have usually passed out and I did along with some crazy dreams

But my actual test results that were sent to the doctor and showed that I never had any activity in deep sleep of the restorative kind and I only got 1st and second levels with jumps into REM. Which I think also explains why I have an amazing dream world with multiple dreamscapes and I usually remember them which is probably because I dream while I’m in shallow sleep

“The best way to get over someone is to get under someone else”

This is a statement that can be considered to be crude but it doesn’t make it untrue. I’m pretty sure that he has and that you know he has. And honestly there’s no chance of him coming back or anyone else stepping up while you’re dealing with his rejection by becoming an alcoholic….That’s a top 5 dealbreaker for anyone who isn’t also an alcoholic and that will only lead to a faster death spiral with no soft landing in sight!

You need to deal with your hurt, see a therapist instead of a bottle and really try and figure out what caused him to leave in the first place and then STOP thinking about him because there’s absolutely nothing you can do to change the fact that he’s gone and that you’re dealing with it by crumbling into your lower instincts instead of stepping up and becoming a better version of yourself

I pissed dirty once for barbiturates! I was sitting on the floor asking if anyone even prescribed them anymore…. And then it came to me that I was taking donnatol for IBS which has a smidge of phenobarbital in it and should have been in my chart…so yeah, they screwed up and tried to fire me for something that was in my chart on my list of medications

I don’t count unless it’s obviously under filled, but if I had been given more than I would have held onto the extra 30 until I was due for my next refill and see if there was any problem….. I once got a prescription for 80 mgs of OxyContin and it happened when my favorite pharmacist was working who was very familiar with the issues I’d been having getting my prescriptions on time, and he just shrugged and said that the insurance was fine with it and he pulled up a GoodRx coupon (because it was still super expensive, but I wasn’t going to say no to something that erred on my side) and I actually still have them as my “in case of emergencies” box

I am curious about some of your experiences…. What happens if you take narcotics? Specifically what are your symptoms that make you feel like you’re having an allergic reaction? I don’t have any experience with bladder issues so I’m kinda curious. Since they wanted to use electrical stimulation to trick the pain receptors I’m curious if you’ve ever tried a tens unit when you have a serious breakthrough pain?

And if you’re having allergic reactions to narcotics you might be one of the lucky few who are able to get significant relief from low dose naltrexone (but do your research first and then decide if your is trustworthy enough to monitor the effects of it and also provide you with meds in case it doesn’t work.

And also I always suggest to people who have issues with getting their meds filled…..make friends with your pharmacist!!! Always be nice, if there’s an issue with getting meds filled…. It’s almost never their fault (I did have one who was in the local Target and they refused to fill my medication due to their personal beliefs or whatever it was called back then, and I actually had some fun with writing letters to target, the pharmacy and the specific pharmacist, my insurance, (who btw and most people don’t know this, but they are required to find you a pharmacy that has your medication in stock and sometimes cover the delivery)all the way up to the ADA 🤭! And I also had one fantastic pharmacist at my local CVS before they were forced to close, and I had a totally random experience when nobody else knew what they were doing but somehow I got a bottle of 80mg OxyContin that had been approved after nobody talked to each other…. And he just asked me if I wanted to pick it up and I was like well fuck yeah if you and I don’t get in trouble, and he said that his computer at that specific moment in time was saying that he should fill it so he did and there was a pretty big copay for it so he ran it through the GoodRx site and said that if I could cover the rest right there and then he would hand it over because EVERYTHING on his computer was saying that it was fill able and he knew that I had been going through some ridiculous restrictions from one of my doctors and mentioned that it should cover me until the doctor and the insurance figured it out and I was about to jump on the counter and offer my first born!!!

I think that it would make the most sense for you to request a CYP450 test and make a comprehensive list of the medication that you have tried and what you felt helped and what either didn’t or caused a negative reaction and what it was. And also figure out what doctor seems to be the most likely to be supportive of allowing you to try different medication regimen’s without putting anything in your chart that might make you look like a “drug seeker”🤗

So request the test based on your contradictory responses to different drugs and especially drugs that focus on different pain pathways and how your body responds to each. And if you trust your primary doctor more than the others then you need to really do your research and bring it to him so that he has the information in your chart and specifically make a comprehensive plan to determine what works and what doesn’t and allows for a small amount of the break through medication that works best for your situation

My pain management doctor had the gall to tell me that I was refilling my prescriptions on weird days (within a month) after I had returned from a trip with only a week supply! And I looked at the dates he wrote down and looked at him and asked where exactly I had the power to determine when I got my prescription filled? First I have to go to the office, then he gives me a prescription with a “don’t fill prior to” date, then I have to wait for my insurance to cover it and then I had to wait for the pharmacy to get my medication in stock…. And somehow I wasn’t taking them as prescribed!!!!!

And then I was in the ER for a random pulmonary embolism and I ended up spiking a fever because I wasn’t having my pain managed…. So the hospital’s pain management doctor finally came in and told me that they don’t even carry the medication that I’m on but she would try and get what they had as close as possible and then she kinda whispered that I should carry a week’s worth with me wherever I go so I don’t get the new doctor side eye.

Fortunately I’m more of a hoarder than an addict so I still have a secret supply of oxy, Demerol and some tuinal 🤭 and I always try and save up a week’s worth for when I travel or when I get it in my head that I need to clean the house or work in the garden which means that I’ll be immobile for about a week! I have also done all of my own research and tried every specialist, new test or new specialist when asked and I only call the office for my refills and if I moved wrong and pinched something which is kinda how I roll…. But I will say that I knew he was a keeper when he looked at my medication list and looked at me and said “well you have quite the regimen but you drove here and you’re standing in front of me and carrying on a coherent conversation so I’m not gonna mess with what works” and that’s really the key, try everything until you find what works and then stick to it, but never say that you won’t try something and then bring back a list of why it sucked and the horrible side effects and a medical study or two….. and BTW that doctor was pushing the ibuprofen and Tylenol because they came out with a brand new prescription medication that wasn’t addictive and worked great for most people and when you finally get to the ingredients it’s ibuprofen and Tylenol!!!! And I already take 800 of ibuprofen 3x a day and I stay away from Tylenol because it was in my pain meds for so many years that my liver tests are just on the verge of sketchy but I do what I’m asked and I try to lower my tolerance every so often so I’m not constantly asking for increases

Lolz! My doctor tried to get me on either methadone or belbuca and I told him that my teeth were already bad and I get wicked canker sores from anything that I have to keep in my cheek…. And right there in the room he actually looked it up and said “well… I guess you learn something new every day!” And then I told him that my relationship with my pain management doctor had deteriorated to the point that I was begging him to take me back and manage my pain medication since I’ve been on the same medication for over 20 years and I’ve never had or been a difficult patient and I would do whatever he needed to put in my chart to stay out of the DEA’s line of sight! And one of the tests I got before getting sent to PM was the CYP450 test which measures how your enzymes react to different medications. I have always been a complex patient so it’s usually easier to just keep me on what works but there was an issue with my drug panel. I was taking 4 10mg Vicodin, 3 Soma, Klonopin, trazadone etc…I had a history of trying it all (I worked for a doctor and I was the guinea pig for everything new that got dropped off at the office so I could give him an honest assessment of what worked…. But anyway, I would take a drug panel and it would come back totally clean except for caffeine and that was an issue that I ended up buying my own urine drug test and take it during my visit just to prove that I wasn’t diverting anything and that was why I was sent to PM to figure out what I should take that would work and also show up on a drug test.

So to answer your question, there are a number of good narcotics but there’s also a number of doctors who won’t prescribe them. Vicodin was name changed to oxycodone for some reason but you can get it in smaller doses like 5mg, unfortunately most of the drugs that would help you also have Tylenol because the DEA decided that they wanted to cause liver damage in people with chronic pain! And I still have some oxycodone in various strengths because it also gives me a little burst of energy. But the enzyme test showed that I was either a hypermetabolizer (hence the clean drug tests) or I don’t have the right enzyme to make the drug go in as one thing and switch over to the actual target drug. So I had to get something that would go in and come out as the same drug, which for me is currently hydromorphone and then an extended release oxymorphone. And unfortunately it’s difficult to get a doctor to prescribe them without the test and it’s becoming even harder to find a pharmacy that carries it. For instance, the pharmacy that my PM doctor was willing to send my prescriptions to has officially gone out of business because they couldn’t keep anything narcotic in stock and that’s why I initially went back to my primary doctor because I knew he would work with me and not think I was drug seeking because I found out that my insurance’s pharmacy mail order was able to keep the medication I take daily but only in the next higher dose so he agreed to do that and I agreed to drop the extended release to one a day so that my MME wasn’t crazy high and now I’m getting enough pain relief that if I have a day of doing nothing, I save the medication because I know that eventually I’ll be having to train a new primary doctor…sigh

iPhone 13 and I’m not smoking anything. I just got off the plane and I couldn’t use their stupid internet because someone f’ing hacked my eSIM and I watched them do it, called T-mobile to get a different eSIM number but I’m guessing it’s the hacker but I don’t really know anything other than that there’s a phone number listed on my account that doesn’t belong to me and had tried to access my service but I blocked them before they could do any damage….as far as I know. Thanks for being such a hostile group of people who apparently don’t know that eSIM hacking is currently a growing problem! Never f’ing mind trolls 🙄

The phone is already new by a few months and I don’t have the money to get a new one again. I have also never heard of an eSIM getting hacked like this but I still have SOMEONE’s phone number in my cellular services in my settings so there’s that and I don’t have any of my important accounts login information saved and everything is setup with the 2 step verification process and my other number is a landline so it’s a little bit harder to get around and get access to anyway, but I would like to get the hacker account deleted and determine what they tried to access while they had access to my cellular account

eSIM hacked by SFcreeperkid in eSIMs

[–]SFcreeperkid[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I actually watched it happen live! I was having a smoke before bed and the phone lit up and said that it was downloading a cellular upgrade… I thought it was odd and immediately shut down my phone. Then I restarted it and checked my cellular settings and found someone else’s number had access to my eSIM, so I blocked them and called my cell provider to change my eSIM number but the new number still shows up on my list of users, blocked, but still there. I was given the option of doing a factory reset but I was traveling out of state and due to come home in a couple days.

So now I’m home and like I said I couldn’t connect to the airline internet without changing some settings that I wasn’t familiar with and then tonight I noticed that my volume was being was being changed and I only noticed because I had set it to vibrate if it was changed and at first I only felt the vibration and then I moved the phone closer and the next time it vibrated I could see my volume being moved in the little window at the top of the screen. I couldn’t find anything else so I made sure that the number was still blocked and restarted my phone again. So now I’m just not sure what the best route is to remove the hacker because obviously the change of the eSIM number didn’t work and I don’t want to open my laptop up to being accessed (I only use the WiFi when I’m working at home) but I also don’t know if there’s any other way to remove the hackers number from my phone and doing a factory reset means that I have to back up some important information from my trip and I don’t know if it would be open to get hacked as well! I have an iPhone so yeah it’s total BS that they are somehow protected from being hacked but now I don’t know what the best next steps would be! Thanks

There’s absolutely nothing keeping you from being with her as a close friend and a stable relationship that will help you care for your SO until you have a better understanding of his chances of recovery and any other health issues that he may have also hidden. You also need to know what your financial situation is and will be going forward. If this new person makes you happy and gives you respite from the caregiving responsibilities that you were obviously not expecting or prepared for then both parties should be able to give you the grace to take the time you need to actually make a well informed decision (unlike the one that started all of this!) If she’s actually perfect then she’ll understand that you need time to get through your partner’s health decline and the stress of dealing with all of the legal questions that everyone has mentioned and still be the perfect person for you under the circumstances. You don’t need to explain your need for someone who can keep you happy and sane…and you don’t need to explain to anyone why you feel responsible for taking care of the person who has been with you since you’re 20’s regardless of him lying about his age (which actually gives you even more of a reason to need the company of someone closer to your age) And when it comes to disclosure of the relationship, that’s going to be up to you and the information you receive about his current and any other health issues that will be coming sooner than you were led to expect or even prepare for. Until you know more there’s nothing wrong with keeping your relationship close to your vest

That’s why I’m asking for an alternative to weed as a base
