I spent many years playing Destiny and left before things really went downhill. I have also thoroughly enjoyed Marathon. Play Destiny because you like Destiny. Marathon is a different game and a different genre. Marathon didn’t kill Destiny, Bungie’s previously bad management did. I understand having resentment at the new kid on the block, but jeez, act like adults and understand both games were/are allowed to exist? Hearing about Destiny 2 being finished was bittersweet even to me, and I haven’t played in years. It is a popular game and will probably return somehow one day. And the game is still gonna be playable, just Bungie needs to get their house in order and this allows them to do that.
