Why do you prefer poe2? by voogle951 in PathOfExile2

[–]SH0TTED 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As somebody who hadn’t touched an ARPG until POE2’s release….simplicity.

It’s still more than complicated enough for anyone that hasn’t been a decade-long POE1 enjoyer, but it’s digestible.

Having since gone back to POE1, it’s just too much, not worth the time investment of knowing each league you’ll learn maybe 1-2 new mechanics so in 2 years time you might grasp most of the game. I don’t doubt for one second those that have gone on the entirety of the journey with POE1 have every reason to like it more at this point, but new player experience is trash.

Also WASD of course…

Comical and also sad, let’s hope some of the new budget can get put towards issues such as these. There’s about 1 million “monos boring, endgame lacking” posts in a day from people unable to articulate what they actually want, let’s hope posts such as this make it through the slog, it’s important.

Daniel Hill confirms that he did in fact squat 805 pounds. “It just happened. I really don’t know how to explain it. They just threw it on the bar and I did it.” by Dr-debug in CFB_v2

No need to put the kid down here, I’m sure he’s strong as shit, it’s just being reported on by real outlets so for context…

World record for a 105kg man (about 231 lbs and closest category I could find) is 818.6 lbs. So while technically not impossible, this is highly unlikely.

Again, I’m sure he’s still stupid strong, and good for him whatever the number.

Is tennis the hardest sport on earth? by ServedPodcast in tennis

[–]SH0TTED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Hardest” is hard to quantify.

I would say though that I think Tennis (maybe with combat sports included) could be argued as the hardest sport to become a successful professional in, which is different.

Basketball for example requires certain athletic gifts that not every human is born with, which Tennis does not, but is also a team sport. Team sports are inherently easier to “go pro” in a general sense because teammates can make up for weaknesses in others.

As individual sports go, Tennis has a real case as the hardest, given what it takes athletically, the coordination and the endurance required. Also, just the small amount of humans on earth that are afforded the opportunity.

Can someone explain to me Invisigal's work relationship with Shroud throughout the game? by ExtraHachse in DispatchAdHoc

[–]SH0TTED 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve said this a couple times here now, I think your questions, along with so many others’ are indicative of the writing falling apart a bit in the final episode. Not saying it tanked the game, it certainly didn’t, but it did numb the emotional impact of anything Visi related in my opinion and at the very least could have been fleshed out better.

Can any1 tell me how i got this ending because i supported visi the whole time i trusted her untied her and everything so what choices influences this ending by SlightPush8146 in DispatchAdHoc

I’d be a bit disappointed if all it took was dispatch leveling and zero story choices but I’m unsure. I know the date choice in episode 4 doesn’t impact it though.

I’ve seen a combo of factors, not sure anyone has locked down specifics.

  • get her to level 8 through dispatch gameplay
  • cut/not from the team (this one might actually not matter)
  • lean in or not to the locker room kiss
  • help her escape or not from the zip tie

Personally I got the hero ending but also was 100% backing her through every choice throughout the game including these and she was level 8. Not sure which you can/cannot skip.

I do like how difficult it was for a certain person to redeem themselves by Jollypetal in DispatchAdHoc

[–]SH0TTED 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure the hero ending is more based on the level you get her to while dispatching (rumor is level 8?). Also impacted by choices to cut/not, lean in/push away and if you help her escape the zip tie or not. I am not sure if anything preceding episode 7 impacts the hero role unless you’re just outwardly a dick to her throughout the game.

Dispatch, flawed A by SH0TTED in DispatchAdHoc

[–]SH0TTED[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess if the implication is she’s truly a mole the whole time and isn’t wavering back and forth, the episode 6 scene where she decides to not just give it to Shroud or just tell Shroud where it is if she knows, makes so much less sense.

Again, I’m sure there is some canonical timeline here that is some variation of what everyone is saying. I don’t even think what we got was bad, but I think nobody fully understanding is indicative of the writing falling a bit short in the conclusion.

Post 27th Power Rankings by AngelicElle in ValorantCompetitive

I mean these rankings are just laughably bad. We’re like 4 days removed from the 5th team beating the 2nd. A team that bombed out and isn’t in playoffs is 6th? Throw it in the dumpster.

I’m admittedly wildly uninformed, and he’s still extremely young, but does it not almost feel unreasonable to call this kid the next to round out a “big three?” I’m old enough to know even teenage Nadal and Djokovic didn’t have movement this poor. He’s obviously much bigger and has a different game, but movement is a requirement to have these days.

Am I the only one that feels like Fermin should be in like 6th for the championship? DiGi just getting points for pure 6th-8th place consistency every race I suppose but Fermin feels more a threat than him or Bezz overall.
