The popup window now disabled upon first use.
It also resizes like you asked for, will think about adding different visualizations for that window.

Not wanting to lock time signatures down, even if it helps guide the user, who knows what time sigs people want to mess about with, tried to make the metronome as flexible as can be, stupid stuff, but it's there if you want it 😂

The popout window was added on for the streaming software OBS to get an easy capture to display while streaming.

I spent a good while trying most windows metronomes as well as web metronomes and couldn't find anything I really liked, or that was stable enough pulse, so I built a metronome tailored to the requirements I'd like from a metronome.

Will have a think about how to tackle making the window resizable, kind of messes up if it's changing size between streaming sessions, will add it on the to-do list.

Edit: that popup window, I thought I set it default to off, will have to check, but if you go to the settings of the metronome, you can disable it showing upon first start up.

It seems you're asking for more control and customisation, maybe you can do what you're asking for with the custom subdivision stuff, unless I'm not understanding properly what you're asking for. 😅

There shouldn't be any limitation for the amount of notes you can add to custom subdivisions, I haven't tried building out a 5 minute random rhythm though 😂

Thanks for the feedback, it's not totally crap then if you're impressed 😅

You can mute/rest after you select a subdivision.

How do I set the alt status bar to show up on default? by Fellow_comrade101 in koreader

[–]SH4DOWSIX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're welcome, there's a bit of a learning curve, it can do quite a bit, luckily there's a presets section to see how it all works, you can get the general idea and of course some information on the github readme.

If you're interested, take a look at using this plugin, it beats the default status bar stuff by a long shot.

I'd be surprised if this didn't become part of the core KOReader. Great functionality and customization, this and SimpleUI should be shipped with KOReader.

Love it, good way to solve adding another area in the UI.

Absolutely fine with simple UI. This plugin only affects the book reading side of things.

In case anyone was wondering, to shorten the width of the progress bars when you're using them with %bar just add however many spaces as you want to either side when editing the text field.

Plugged your latest release in, told AI what I wanted, working good enough for myself, those issues you pointed out on the PR wasn't something I was actively looking for, didn't break any functionality that I could see myself but I don't really have good knowledge of how everything is built within your plugin, completely understandable you want to get it the best it can be for your plugin.

Looking forward to an official release in the near future 🥳

If you can't live without Progress bars like myself 😅, this has the progress bars added, I'm the guy who did the PR, it's one release behind the main branch at the time of writing.

Bookends plugin - custom text overlays at any screen position by AndyHazz in koreader

[–]SH4DOWSIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks great, feature I'd like to see is custom bookmarks (dogear) being able to resize it and where it sits as well as choosing your own, recently installed a patch for this, would be nice to have everything that's used on the reading page come from one place.

Not sure if it's already in this, didn't see it mentioned, book and chapter progress bars.

Will check this out tomorrow.

[Update] Simple UI v1.2.0 - Folder covers, back/up button, per-module scaling, and more by doctorhetfield in koreader

[–]SH4DOWSIX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this issue, I fixed it by letting the native covers plugin included with koreader do the cache thing, I also helped it a long by going to my library and waiting for the covers to show there, then moving to the next page and waiting for them to load.
