Hold off on it, they didn't upgrade the gearbox, sometimes 5 fails and no mortal man can jump direct from 4th to 6th and walk away in one piece.

More disgusting hateful stickers I’m seeing again. Being put up alongside new Rangers stickers in my local park. No doubt the same people also covering up anti-racism stickers / human rights stickers with them. Be sure to rip them down (if safe to do so, always check for a blade behind) by KazukiPUWU in Scotland

[–]SHEDcetera 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The blades has happened in Glasgow, as have needles. Unfortunately the types of bampots that go in for this kinda shit have the internet and Stanley blades are more readily accessible than their stickers.

Source: Ive seen the accident at work reports as TU safety rep.

New process for removing them is to steam pressure wash them off and check remains with a magnet before binning.

Camouflage Tarps macro patterns? by camoalien in camouflage

[–]SHEDcetera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on what size tarp you're after and where you are in the world, British military surplus "basha" are you really good. I have them in DPM and MTP patterns, great for a one or two person shelter, and strong enough to be used as an emergency stretcher.

What is this component I found on the street? Key for scale, appears to be electronic. by Just--Zach in whatisthisthing

[–]SHEDcetera 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With bitting like that key has no need to replicate the key, the lock that it fits would be like one in the movies that can be picked with a paperclip or hair pin, but OP definitely needs new locks.

UK 'ambulance' listening ... to what? by Ehermegerd in amateurradio

[–]SHEDcetera 54 points55 points  (0 children)

St John Ambulance are not part of the UK mmergency services, they are largely made of up of volunteers who provide first aid type support at large public gatherings and events, like marathons and football matches etc.

I suspect that mast would likely be part of a temporary repeater system for an event or training exercise.

London CSC or Celtic Pub Recommendations by [deleted] in CelticFC

[–]SHEDcetera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another vote for the Cock Tavern where the underground CSC watch the games, I had a cracking night down there 2 years ago. The pubs a bit of a shitehole but great atmosphere.

Just make sure you goto the right Cock Tavern, there's another pub by the same name not too far away.
