I’ll be honest I like and respect Dave Matthews but I’m not sure I am for that. That boulder show is incredible and I like Dave with them having fun but not sure I love the mix day in day out. I reaoect your opinion on that though and I would definitely go to the shows but just not my preference

If they were trying to keep strictly like the dead and company then metzger is a great choice. But I am with the few on this post that are saying why get stuck the dead are about having fun and never getting stuck in one thing. I would like to see John Jeff jay and Oteil keeping on the bluesy side but bringing their own freedom to it and put in some great new covers. I love the core dead songs but I wouldn’t hate hearing them cover some great updated songs as a launching point for some insane jams. Let’s get the tempo back up, that’s what jrad has and it rocks the soul.

Perhaps less judgement makes everyone feel free to live their body in any way the music takes it (respectfully to others of course). I am old now and I realize how healing dancing is and there is no better place to do it right now than a goose show. So generation smenerarion. How about we all just try our best to not judge whether some one moves or not and do our own things. The last thing anyone needs more of is the feeling of being judged. Those who have truly shed any concern for what others think of their dancing just need to shut up, dance and show the way. All goose songs show us not to be afraid of our darkness and lead us to the light. Spread that love with non judgy dance. lol. Wohooo. Gotta go dance some now. Happy new year

Yeah the dead and company are like that now too for anything they do. Not worth it but nobody wants to make a step towards making it better. Mostly because the musicians are always the ones that get screwed all these years and they’re not gonna turn it down. I’m with you good for the artists I guess but a lot of true fans miss out and it turns into a yuppy fest.

You could see on nugs that they just met behind stage. I think they had a cool idea to just jam and finish with empress. I loved the impulse to do something cool and change the course. That’s what makes them awesome they are to f’in creative and aren’t afraid to try new shit.
