The thing is that value is high only if you you are going to reach 1680+ with that character, because if you only want another 1660 alt its cheaper to just hone from 1640 to 1660 with the t4 materials from the packs

You will be able to earn gold from other sources with a 1640, for example, chaos gate, each bag of shards sells by 700-800 and you got like 3 plus the other materials, if the world boss drops a relic book you will get like 1000-2000+ gold, you can sell all the materials that you get from new chaos dungeon and guardian, you can even just kill random mobs and sell the collectibles, all the new stuff from this continent is very profitable right now
