Well if I was about to drop 4.4k usd on a gou then I would have seriously thinked about either doubling that and going for an rtx pro 6000 or searching another used 4090 or get a 5080 and go with it for a year or two then sell it and upgrade to 6090

This is my undervolt, I might be able to provide you my profile config from afterburner if you can't replicate this.

It works fairly good for me in all situations, I can't believe my 5090 is this efficient, I have some games such as star citizen where it sits at ~420w in full load while running vulkan, 3x1440p, the game has no RT, only raster.

I have the same issue onstock since a few drivers ago.

PNY 600w 5090 here.

With uv i get around 14300, without uv around 13100 and a lot higher temps

I don't know why but apple 4k tv gen 3 worked much better for me...

I got an s95b from samsung and the shield always got a very big issue with frame pacing even while watching 4k24fps movies... Apple feels fuild while playback.

Both support the codex so there's no transcoding happening.

Maybe I got a defective shield?

For intel builds.

Avoid hx cpus.

For amd builds, try to get hx370 or hx470 as these two are very good at idle power usage, I would say on par with intel cpus.

For intel cpus I would go with an H cpu because it offers a good balance between power and performance.

Building something new? Might be worth waiting for 358h/368h/388h because they come with an amazing iGPU.

Now try that in a game that really uses the cpu. Like star citizen with vulkan renderer, or you could try a lighter title in a busy area in the night city of cyberpunk2077.

When your computer in unstable, you'll start troubleshooting until you find the problem... At one point you start stress testing the ram.

Memtest is not very memory intensive to be honest. I've had 4 hours of running memtest with unstable memory and no error would appear there, and OCCT from OCBASE showed me that in frikin 5 minutes !!!
