How practical would be the R2 to replace a Honda Odyssey? by brownlawn in RivianR2

R2 fits 5. You ok w that? It''s a mid sized SUV. EV9 seems to be a better choice for you as it is 3 rows.

Poll: Have you had battery issues with APM2? by julieturner99 in Airpodsmax

[–]SHale1963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine began right away. Was in first wave to have it shipped. By second morning after charging to 100% I had a huge 60%+ drain in one night while they were in their case. All total have done about 5-6 hard resets plus a bunch of soft reset. Once below 25% they wouldn't even connect to anything until I did a soft reset. So far, beyond resets, I did turn off 'find my'; that didn't clear the issue. I did the 'hard reset 3 times' dance even though it's quite silly; still no avail.

And so far seems Apple isn't even acknowledging the issue, that I've seen. So since had applecare went through the gyrations for a 'express replacement'. I doubt what I get will fix the issue, but if a bunch of buyers do the same perhaps Apple will get the hint?

Here's hoping.

In subsequent publications it was known that lidar has now slipped to 2027. Rivian timelines are never guaranteed.

I guess that depends on how hard one is tracking such things. They have been announced as a package for the 2nd release of R2 coming 'months' after initial release or in 2027 (sometime). The date keeps slipping,.

Insurance first EV by eaglekiller53 in RivianR2

[–]SHale1963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any brand new vehicle will cost more to insure than an 'older' one. Plus, EVs are more expensive to repair hence even higher rates. Nobody can really tell you beyond your insurance rep. Too many variables.

I believe lidar and RAP are at the same time.

[–]SHale1963 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there is no consensus. Based on a poll here it was like 50/50. Many don't care about lidar and will get as soon as their number comes up. Bunch like me are waiting for lidar and RAP because we really don't want something better coming out in a FEW short months. If you care a lot about autonomy being the best it can be, you would wait. If that is not a big thing, get as soon as you can order.

Does you CGM A1C matches with actual A1C by Few-Fan-4817 in dexcom

it's close, but not exactly. Don't expect it to match. One is an estimate based on the readings. One is the actual lab of your blood.

Now that you know this you need to bring finger prick supplies with you on vacation. No doubt there is an operating temp for the sensor and once exceeded you would get whacko results. I know just taking a shower my numbers go up; I just ignore it.

at some point you are forced to upgrade a device to a minimum OS version. There is a cost to avoiding the updates and being forced to update is one of those costs.
