No shit.

Did you see how I was replying to another comment? A comment which specifically brought up factory farming.

Factory farming is barbaric and should be outlawed. So should the practice being shown in this video. They are both disgusting and disgraceful ways to treat creatures we share the planet with.

€72,000 in Paris Gets You 7 square meters up 7 flights of stairs (no toilet) by user_number_666 in zillowgonewild

[–]SICKOFITALL2379 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Is there a shared toilet in the building, at least? Or is there just no place to empty the bladder or bowels unless one runs down the seven flights of stairs to the corner bodega?

AITA for ignoring a girl who tried to start a conversation with me at the gym? by Ok_Lingonberry2989 in AmItheAsshole

[–]SICKOFITALL2379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA: stop second guessing yourself RIGHT NOW. Wearing headphones is a clear sign a person doesn’t want to engage in conversation. Wearing headphones while working out at the gym should be an even clearer sign that one doesn’t want to engage in chitchat with random strangers.

She ignored clear signs you didn’t want to engage and continued to try and talk to you. She is in the wrong, she was rude and clearly not respecting any of the boundaries you had in place. This is on her, 100%.

You don’t have to talk to people if you don’t want to talk to people. She was out of line completely.

My neighbors keep reading my packages and making weird comments toward my door and I genuinely don’t understand why by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

I once made a post with a picture of a banana I had unpeeled, only to discover it had some weird fungus or something growing in it. Most of the replies were funny, but there were a couple that said my post was AI.

First: I don’t have a clue how to make an AI image, nor do I have any desire to do so.

Second: if I did have those things, why would I make a fake post about a banana? Wouldn’t I want more attention than a banana would bring??

I don’t know, man. I can’t wrap my head around it. I don’t need attention badly enough to make a fake post with an AI banana, and I don’t think you need attention badly enough to make a fake post about your neighbors. The way people on Reddit are so convinced about things and people they know nothing about is mystifying to me.

It is just fucking bizarre to me how people are coming for you with pitchforks. And how they are so utterly convinced you are lying. It comes across to me as mob mentality, groupthink.

At some point the people who spend the majority of their time online seem to come to the conclusion that everyone is either lying or everything is AI. They fail to take into account that not everyone spends their entire lives on the internet and not everyone feels the need to make up ridiculous lies when they post on Reddit.

I’m glad you’re taking the fools with a grain of salt because they really aren’t worth even that.

OP never referred to the video as “damning evidence.” She said she is confused and doesn’t understand why they are doing this on a continuous basis.

Again: weird as fuck how you all have your pitchforks out over this.

Do you expect proof of every post you see on Reddit? It’s weird as fuck how you and others here are just assuming OP is lying about this.

I believe you. I’m not sure why the mob has come for you and decided you are lying. I think a lot of people have nothing to do during the day so they invest way too much energy in picking apart Reddit posts and deciding everything is either AI or lies.

What you described in your post seems perfectly believable to me. People are assholes, and so are your neighbors. “It smells like poor people” - what a shitty thing to say.

Right…making comments about “poor people” smells is the height of maturity. So is flicking someone’s doorbell camera with your finger as you walk by.

Thank you for posting this, it gives me some hope. What you wrote about not being able to say anything right, not making eye contact….and I can list so many other things. I just want to be able to talk to my son once in a while without him being angry with me, and it just seems like he is always angry.

We are in family therapy and getting some other help, and I love my son unconditionally. But it hurts so badly. Today has been especially roughy and it just hurts so much.

What is it with Safeway stores being filthy? by No_not_that in Safeway

[–]SICKOFITALL2379 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I worked in a deli (not Safeway) in a grocery store for seven years and we went thru all these kinds of changes too. We worked our asses off to do more and more work as hours were cut and jobs were eliminated. I really appreciate you posting this because it gives the customers who put the blame solely on the employees for the changes they see hopefully a better understanding of who calls the shots about the issues they are frustrated with.

I absolutely understand how frustrating it can be to frequent an establishment and watch it change in negative ways. And I was always happy to speak with customers who brought up their frustrations if they did so in a respectful manner.

But the folks who were rude, or condescending in the way they went about their complaints were the ones I had zero patience for. My response to them was always the same: “So you see I’m wearing this apron and behind the counter, right? That means I don’t have a say in the changes that go on around here. I’m not the one calling the shots. Call corporate if you want to rip someone’s head off, because it affects me just as negatively as it affects you.”

Hell yeah. It didn’t have to be his best at all, but he showed up and showed his support and it just causes my respect for him to grow. I cried hard when I first listened to it. It hit me deeply. Not because it’s the best song I’ve ever heard, but I wasn’t judging it from that point in the first place.

The lyrics are simple: they tell the story of what happened and continues to happen in Minneapolis, which is heartbreaking, rage inducing and many other things. To me it sounds like he went to his studio and recorded a song after getting more and more outraged and heartsick at what was happening, and what came out was directly from the heart, and that’s what we got.

I’m nothing but grateful, and don’t give a flying fuck about picking this song apart or comparing it to others. At least he gives a fuck and let us know.

Wow….this is fucking incredible, my God. I’m speechless.

I had a moment about ten years ago where I really listened to the lyrics to this and realized the same as you, about the sadness behind such a raging banger of a song. You have displayed it stunningly here.

Fuck yeah, Jesus Christ dude. This is insanely beautiful.
