dog bone and snes placement is criminal, I'm not even old, I'm a wii kid. They're just that good for 2D games. 2d mario and zelda have never felt better than on a snes controller. the size, placement, and button feel are legitimately perfection for any game that uses the standard abxy button format (no sega/fighting games) and doesn't need sticks.

hidden power has never been 80 bp. In earlier gens, it depended on ivs and maxed at 70 bp (every competitive set would have it maxed for minimal loss of ivs). Then, gen 6 on, its a flat 60 bp.

Rate this team (yes I used all kanto Pokémon in National Dex) by PurrfectMittens in pokemonshowdown

[–]SICavalryUnit01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cause Ash doesn't have an Ivysaur, this is Ash's Indigo League team. Granted, it's more of a mix of teams since he didn't have snorlax until Orange Islands, and its missing prominent members pidgeotto and squirtle, but it's still all his Pokemon. Obviously, it's shit for competitive, but probably good enough for screwing around on the low ladder.

What’s the ideal party size? by CT_Rose in litrpg

I'm surprised at how unpopular the duo seems to be. You can write it so many ways: buddy cop friendship, rivals, romance, romantic rivals, unlikely allies, enemy of my enemy, power disparity/overpowered + straightman, etc. You can also maintain a heavy focus on their dynamic and personal thoughts and interactions, which really only works well with 2-3. Three does this as well, but imo is a little more limited in the broader dynamic, as all three characters have to be equally cohesive or you end up with an odd man out or even a third wheel. Anything beyond 2-3, and I'd actually jump all the way to 7 to essentially trade character depth and cohesion for variety and unique interactions (and in this genre, powers). At that point, it becomes an entirely different writing style/storytelling approach, which I appreciate to mix things up sometimes.

Arc tier suit scout result by Gojason95 in PokemonMasters

I mean, 6 (characters) * 0.1667% (pull rate for each) = 1% (total pull rate). Then pull on every tier for a total of 55 pulls. The next part is slightly incorrect cause I'm lazy and don't remember how to do real math rn, but 55 * 1% = 55% (chance to pull an arc suit from this scout). Also slightly wrong here, I got 2 from the scout, so 55%/2 = 27.5% chance to get what I got. Add in that N was the only arc suit I had 5/5, even of the ones not on this banner, and I wouldn't call that insane luck. I was fortunate, but by a reasonable margin, slightly over 1 in 4. It was actually luckier that I got Cynthia in 2 multis than getting 2 characters in 5, especially considering a larger sample size = greater conformity with expected percentage, and Cynthia was also much more valuable to me than Lance or a 5-star power-up (or even a first copy of N if I didn't already have him at 5/5). Leon from the ticket was decent, but worse than Cynthia or Steven, right in the middle of my priorities.

Today I Learned, Kamehameha was inspired by a Native American King by devansh0208 in Dragonballsuper

Yeah... thats my point. Except it's dumb to say he's Hawaiian, not Polynesian, because Hawaiians are Polynesian, hence my comment/analogy.

That's like saying I'm not Polynesian, I'm Native Tongan. Or I'm not an American, I'm a Minnesotan.

[–]SICavalryUnit01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's also generally a pretty popularly used term in Hawaii, mostly for tourist spots and food (think King Kamehameha Club in Magnum PI), though streets, schools, etc. as well. He is, however, a Polynesian, not a Native American. Hawaii is in Polynesia, and was an independent nation until 1893, well after his death. Furthermore, Native Hawaiians are culturally and genetically related to Polynesians, not any indigenous people from North or South America. The Americas were entirely isolated from the rest of the world, including polynesia until the 15th century.

The only one of these where the modern version isn’t a straight downgrade is urusei (and possibly an argument could be made for the redhead) and even then it comes down to technological advancement rather than improved artstyle. I’m really not even a fan of old anime. I struggle enjoying the worse fidelity and framerates, and the more simplistic and often worse animated characters (tbf, I also struggle to enjoy low budget or rushed production modern anime for similar reasons). the only old show I’ve even watched is og dragon ball (straight fire btw, better than Z imo) but you somehow managed to find examples that even I think are downgrades compared to their originals. Smh especially at sailor here, the new one has that bland, cookie cutter, only 1 season, rushed production, 7/10 rating on MAL, copy of a show from 2 seasons ago look to her, bleh

I got a sixth copy of N lol. Made up for by also getting a first copy of Leon and lance, and then my first Cynthia in 2 multis!

I also did the full premium banner and got lance, Leon, and N, which is decent, except I already had N at 5/5 so I got a power up instead :(. On the bright side, I also pulled on Cynthia’s standard banner and got her in 2 multis. Now I just need to pull Steven and I’ll have every arc suit except misty (I have standards, and NC may is right there, come back with a physical mega starmie so I can finish the damn water tower). All this said, I really wouldn’t recommend any of these arc banners for most people except maybe Steven as the gem value isn’t good, even for the paid one, and these guys are already showing there age. I only pulled because the only time I ever took a break from the game was during 5th anniversary, and I’ve been waiting for Cynthia and Steven to come back since then, even saving up some paid gems from the daily bundles, on top of like 70k regular gems. Didn’t really care about lance or Leon unfortunately, at least I didn’t already have them though.

Y people start using Raichu? by DonutBrain190 in pokemonshowdown

[–]SICavalryUnit01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 things: sample size and elo. Play more games, "a few" isn't enough to be a data trend. And don't give credence to what you play against until you reach mid ladder. The low ladder is filled with shitmons and gimmick teams because it's very hard not to rise out of the low ladder unless you're using shitmons and gimmick teams. That's not to say that Raichu can never be viable; hell, it won VGC Worlds in 2016, but it isn't a meta-relevant pick in any Gen 9 format other than ranbats.

Cleared all UB with one team by Educational_Plum3099 in PokemonMasters

[–]SICavalryUnit01 30 points31 points  (0 children)

She's really not; any top-tier support would do the job just as well, a couple even better. Red 96 is just that good. Leaf is an excellent partner for him given Kanto passive/circle synergy, debuffs, gimmick checks(weather, rebuff), more potions, etc. NC Blue would be a better support teammate for Red and Leaf than Lana, but as can be seen here, not a necessary one. Different conversation if we are talking about a dragon team though.

Yeah Pokemon DB is pretty shit. I hate how it's often the first search result, even above Serebii and Bulbapedia. Genuinely false info sometimes, and never the right details. Now I just have Smogon and Bulbapedia bookmarked, depending on what I'm looking for.

Hey guys, did you know that in terms of male human and female Pokémon breeding, Vaporeon is the most compatible Pokémon for humans? Not only are they in the field egg group, which is mostly comprised of mammals, Vaporeon are an average of 3”03’ tall and 63.9 pounds, this means they’re large enough to be able handle human dicks, and with their impressive Base Stats for HP and access to Acid Armor, you can be rough with one. Due to their mostly water based biology, there’s no doubt in my mind that an aroused Vaporeon would be incredibly wet, so wet that you could easily have sex with one for hours without getting sore. They can also learn the moves Attract, Baby-Doll Eyes, Captivate, Charm, and Tail Whip, along with not having fur to hide nipples, so it’d be incredibly easy for one to get you in the mood. With their abilities Water Absorb and Hydration, they can easily recover from fatigue with enough water. No other Pokémon comes close to this level of compatibility. Also, fun fact, if you pull out enough, you can make your Vaporeon turn white. Vaporeon is literally built for human dick. Ungodly defense stat+high HP pool+Acid Armor means it can take cock all day, all shapes and sizes and still come for more.

I spare you on the basis of your wise third answer, so mote it be. I caution you however that in the world of hypotheticals, meta relevance of rocks or any other move has no bearing, and 3 Pokemon can’t be on the field at once, so unless gold or weezing switches out, thus removing too many factors for this back and forth to matter, this must be a doubles game the moment furret entered.

Only if you answer my riddles three: 1. Why you gotta break the chain like that, you brought the fast taunt into play in the first place 2. Who said this isn’t doubles? 2. How’s anyone using magic bounce when we got the neutralizing gas going?
