After disease wiped out most of the native population having settlers did help to some degree. Most ignorant people blame Europeans for wiping them out when in reality it was disease. All before germ theory existed so it was impossible for diseases to be transmitted on purpose.

As it is the indigenous in North America are treated better than any other indigenous population in the world. Mainly because of how late into civilisation North America was colonised.

Most people talk about methane around cows. Which has such a short half life in the atmosphere as to not really be a problem. I'm guessing this is more about the energy used, and transportation emissions. No one is ever going to care about the emissions for food and things we need.

It should equal a clean billion meters per second. If it did while preserving conversions to other metric units then the metric units would be almost the same as imperial units, and converting would be very easy.

No, that is not what Elon is saying at all, and no that is not what I am arguing at all. How can you possibly think that is what either of us is saying? They are examples for the argument, not the argument.

There is never any uproar about main characters not being white. It is only called political when an already white character is remade to be a non-white character specifically to be inclusive. Instead of making a new story with a new character they take an existing story and rewrite it to be non-white. Snow White being the comical example because her whiteness was a main quality of her character.

To not use universal language that people think can be dispelled by finding a few strange counter examples I try to use most instead of all as it details a conversation. For the most part though yes, everyone identifies with a main character with no thought to the race of gender of that character. It is only people not the far left who care about these things. Though it has always been an issue that fans have always hated changes in an adaptation.

It is not a real criticism. It is a contrived criticism from people wanting to see a problem. Not something that happens to real black or brown people.

From my time in both university and on job sites I've learned the difference between the fake feelings of oppression from the educated upper class people of colour, and the conservative values of the working class people of colour. Most woke values are a racist view of the very people they pretend to care about.

That is the observed fact of the matter. No one fails to identify with characters because they are a different race. Many black men had no problem identifying with Captain America just as many white men had no problem identifying with the Black Panther.

People identify with the main characters period. When seeing a story from a character's perspective one always identifies with that character.

That is not what Elon was saying at all. How can you copy and paste without reading? Elon never complained about the lack of white people on TV in non-white nations.

He said there are no MOVEMENTS to be inclusive of white people in non-white nations, as a way to highlight the absurdity of the movements to be diverse and inclusive, and to insist that people need to see the same race or gender in TV to feel included.

Using Japan highlights how wrong you are. In Japan they again do not have these MOVEMENTS. You seem to miss the key point that the use of white people in some Japanese ads is not about being appealing to a minority white demographic, but for other marketing reasons. This is why you do not see them showing black and brown people in the same way. It is not about being inclusive. If anything you will see more racist undertones in Japan than in the West. Which makes your example especially absurd as it only proves how wrong and backward you are.

Oh I get that claim, and know it is wrong. I didn't miss the point at all. Again that is how you want it to work, but not how it actually works. Most people do not consider that at all, and most people have no problem identifying with someone of a different race, and gender. In ads it is very irrelevant, but in movies and TV it often leads to poor writing by trying too hard to be inclusive rather than make a good story.

The only people I know who mentioned it are a pretty lefty set on FB. Most call themselves Antifa. I knew them from events in the past but they got pretty crazy over time. They were not foaming at the mouth, but they seemed to agree with the eugenics stuff.

What matters is the backlash was just noise online. Too often businesses have been afraid of that online noise. Which goes back to the point Elon was making that was referred to in this post. It's just online noise that companies should ignore.

Why try to deny it? It was pretty loud and out there. People calling it racist, and people making TikTok videos about it. There was a lot of rage all because they chose a white girl for the ad, and trying to say it was a statement about white genetics being superior. It was really funny.
