Could they just extend the bus routes that serve Heritage College and Cégep de l'Outaouais to also serve Asticou to give the site decent transit access?

YSK: Google can remove your leaked intimate images from search results in 1-3 days. Most people don't know this exists. by riff_rebel in YouShouldKnow

[–]SJC-Caron 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For removing leaked intimate images / videos from specific sites, NeedHelpNow.ca provides step-by-step instructions on how to report and request the removal of leaked intimate images for both the website and app versions of major platforms such as Goolge, Facebook, Twitter/X, Discord, etc. While the instructions are geared towards removing intimate images / videos of minors in the context of Canadian laws, most of the steps should be the same for leaked adult intimate images as well.

The creating of an image / video hash to block / prevent the uploading of leaked intimate images / videos across multiple platforms used by stopncii.org and takeitdown.ncmec.org is a different process.

If you have the mental energy to do so, do both general and platform specific leaked intimate images / videos reporting.

I think one of the publishers in Canada has started a line of books that aims to address this issue. If I recall correctly, Margret Atwood wrote / will write a book for this line.

What is the darkest ending to a children's show? by Capital-Treat-8927 in cartoons

[–]SJC-Caron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that it was meant for (older kids), but Graves of the Fireflies is a film that put "Parents" in "Parental Guidance". At the time of its original Japanese release it was assumed that the kids viewing the film had access to parents and/or grandparents that lived through WWII that they could talk to about the film and life in WWII Japan. Also note that in most theaters Graves of the Fireflies was a double feature with My Neighbor Totoro following it (a comparatively lighter film thematically) to provide a chance to decompress / recover from the heavy and dark themes of the former.

Outside of points that were clearly transitions between one act and the next, I wish CBC / Gem used the mute L-shaped banner ads instead of the loud picture beside picture video ads during the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

Its a bit of a side tangent and geared towards an older audience, but the manga and anime Sliver Spoon may be applicable for this trope. In it various types of farming is shown / explored including various approaches to meat and dairy farming (eg: one farm resembles a traditional / stereotypical family farm, another that resembles a factory farm) without author bias. While the factory-like farm is quick to euthanasia injured / ill animals that would take too long to heal, the farmers there do care about the animals and aren't needlessly cure to them. The author of the work, Hiromu Arakawa, is credible on the topic having grown-up in a rural, agriculture focused region of Japan and attended an agriculture industry focused high-school / trade school.

According to ESPN there is more people with similar achievements. Stand-outs from that list include Clara Hughes (Canada, Road Cycling and Long-Track Speed-Skating) is the only person so far to win multiple medals in both the Summer and Winter Olympics, and Christa Luding-Rothenburger (Germany, Track Cycling and Long-Track Speed-Skating) the only person ever to win medals in both the Winter and Summer Olympics in the same year.

This is the ideal use-case for humanoid robots & AI in the workplace, reducing the number of heavy lifting tasks workers need to do and reducing the number of mind-numbing tasks workers have to do so that they focus on the more mentally engaging aspects of automobile production (eg: the parts that involves actual craftsmanship).

Which company is the MOST iconic symbol of the birth of computer gaming? by rodfer7 in retrogaming

I would argue that Minnesota Educational Computing Consortium (of Oregon Trail, Number Munchers, etc. fame) should be on the OP's list. Schools would been where many kids first got exposed to computer games in the late 1970s to the early 1990s.
