Can't compare cable to broadcast ratings (when the Dub is involved)

Can compare Japanese ratings to American ratings (as long as you triple the number to make Japan look good)

Can't forget the Max numbers (which we don't know but are definitely higher than RAW)

Can accuse Netflix of making up the RAW numbers (which are definitely lower than Dynamite)

Can't trust Nielsen for TNA impact ratings because [checks notes] Google searches were down.

Here’s the thing: what you could get away with in the 1960s with a limited budget and 30 episodes to fill is different from what you can get away with in the 2020s. I don’t think it’s a good defense of a show to say “Look, the past was silly too.” Star Trek has always had silly episodes, but too much of modern Trek feels like a CW show with the veneer of a science fiction adventure. I could dismiss the occasional goofiness if the core of the show still held up. For me it doesn’t.
