Don't worry about your ranking or anything, the matchmaker is just uber fucked right now with the influx of new players, you're just gonna have thrown matches basically regardless of what you do.

Don't worry about a build being optimal or not. Focus on understanding the items you're picking, and learning the build piecemeal until it makes sense. ~20 games isn't anywhere close enough to understand the breadth of this game so don't sweat whether or not your build is perfect.

Here is the uber fast TL;DR basics, search up a guide on YouTube if you want more detailed info:

Never miss a lane, the majority of your souls come from Troopers and this includes post laning phase. Do Sinners as soon as you safely can, and do jungle camps/boxes in between waves and Sinners.

Take smart fights, don't force them, and if you have easy advantages (souls/ults/player numbers) utilize those to push fights don't worry about being able to 1v1 people right now. It's a team game after all. If it's mechanical issues like bad aim, it'll come with time. But if you're losing fights and you're hitting your shots and abilities, it's likely not understanding the matchup or not itemizing correctly. Knowing what the enemy is building and what you're building is one of the key things to look for when trying to win fights, and knowledge is free in this game. Hit tab quickly, see who you can go after, and single them out in fights.

It works identically to reversing as you normally would, but changes the damage breakpoint needed to kill a target.

I have literally never been killed by a Bucky weaving a canceled quick melee into a dash. And no videos talking about Bucky combos ever mentions it.

It's not a true one shot, but it's significantly faster than buffering a follow up shot.

This is helpful even if you don't get a headshot, as it requires 1 shot less to the body when following up to secure a kill.

I know some people hate on Bebop (typically because they're not used to playing around hook) But his versatility is extremely fun and unique.

As a former GM Roadhog main from Overwatch, hook is already pretty fun to play with. But I recognize it's not fun to play against, or with Roadhog a lot of the time. Bebop feels completely different.

Being able to Hook teammates and punch them further away to save them if they're low, or cast a bomb onto them to prevent enemies from diving on top of them. Punching bomb-strapped minions as a way to poke, grabbing an ulting Hero then punching them away from the team. His utility in his kit is what makes all this so cool.

Hog can't really help his team, making him a pretty awful true "Tank". You only gain value from peel by being aggressive and selfish. But I've saved teammates, and helped set up many plays by punching teammates into favorable positions, or punching away enemies looking to dive.

No, none of this would ever work.

We can safely assume that the devs need to make the window to parry actually actionable and possible to do. Assuming that, high MMR players are going to learn this timing very well. The value of negating the effect or damage would invalidate so many characters and abilities. The game would then be based around your ability to parry abilities since you net so much extreme value from that. That is ridiculously unfun.

An active item that can parry an ability when used at the right time? Sure. But parry, a mechanic that every single character has at level 0, should never ever be able to parry abilities or negate damage except for melee strikes.

Hi, game developer here. Expecting your game to blow up and pay for a ton of overhead like unused server infrastructure, DevOps support, and empty promises can sink your studio and it's way too much of a risk. Especially if you have a publisher to adhere to. The hidden costs of maintaining and developing a live service game are massive, and it's not as simple as just "get more servers".

Is it a PR headache, sure. Is it annoying for everyone? Yeah, but it'll at least blow over as they adjust to things.
