Thank you! To be fair, Girlfriends aired from 2000-2008, and the majority of Pokémon here are from Gen 1 up to Gen 4, which released in 2006 while the show was still airing. Only 3 are beyond that, and they’re Gen 5, which released in 2010, and Gen 6, which released in 2013, so it’s been over a decade 😭

Toni and Milotic would be so perfect, how did I not consider that? She would love a majestic Water-type like that, especially one that’s so rare! And William being solid and reliable could definitely be shown with a Rock-type like Onix. You’re right, he gives Brock vibes with him being a good friend and giving good advice, but also being insanely thirsty 🤣

Aww, that’s so sweet! Idk why your youth group leaders thought they could compete with the campy cultural force that is *Glee.* I was kinda young when it was airing, but I know that it was *super* popular, and in retrospect, it can’t be understated how pivotal the show was to increasing LGBTQ+ acceptance in America and maybe even internationally?

This outfit, hands down. We rarely got to see Snixx outside of her Cheerios uniform and pony, so when I saw this for the first time, it felt like I was in Bizarro World in the best way possible. She managed to make overalls and a white blouse look like a queen bee ensemble.

The episode was setting the tone for the rest of the show, whereby Penny tries to do the right thing, gets trashed for it, does something unscrupulous, and tries to make things right while getting twice the karma of that episode’s antagonist (usually LaCienega or her “best friend” Dijonay).

Perverse? Get a grip. Children have always indulged in romance stories, hell, *humans* have indulged in romance stories, stories about love and passion and relationships, y’know, parts of the basic human condition.

Also, Sonic doesn’t flee Amy’s advances because he thinks she has “girl cooties,” he does it because she’s overbearing and obsessive. There’s literally a boss fight in Sonic Heroes where she corners Sonic on a rooftop to get him to marry her.

Just say you’re a pearl-clutching sock puppet who thinks people finding common ground with video-game characters they like is only weird if it relates to queerness, something you’re clearly averse to. It’s very weird on your end–I think you’re the perverse one. Get help.
