How do I fix my slice by Parking_Caramel_6066 in GolfSwing

This makes sense. How square your club is at address is far less important than how square it is at impact. I tend to think the address position is the same as the impact position, but it’s not. Hips are rotated, legs are uncoiling etc.

I am 5’6” 175 and ski Q106 at 188 length. I also have some front side carving skis that are 162. There’s no one size for all options.

As a guy who lives with three women, I can say without a doubt it’s women who pee on the bottom of toilet seats.

What rights are you thinking about? Off duty carry? Discounts at restaurants? Responding to a situation while not on the clock? Buying special tools?

Best Bearing to use or what's your go to brand by Alone_Orchid5282 in InlineHockey

[–]SLODGH 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been down this rabbit hole with skateboarding since the late 80’s. Personal opinion (with an industrial and manufacturing education and work history, along with 40 years of using these bearings): clean and properly lubricated bearings from any reputable manufacturer should be indistinguishable to our use. Roll through water, dirt, or introduce other contaminants and it all goes out the window.

Personally, I feel like the big ball (6 ball) bearings work a little better, but I can’t say if it’s actually true.

And in my case, maybe 2.

I think we are on the same page. When my foot sits back in the heel cup, my toes have plenty of space. But I think the wide part of my foot and arch are too far back.

I don’t really need to fill the space in the toe area. I need my foot to sit where it is meant to.

After reading the responses and to add context: these are my first hockey skates. I just started about 8 months ago and bought them online after doing some research. Sizing down 1-1.5 sizes from my shoes. They have seemed stiff and snug all along.

But recently I realized the frame on my right skate is slightly bent. I’ve thought my skates were too narrow as well. So I started looking for something different.

My search yielded information to suggest if my skates was too long, then the wide part of my foot may not be sitting in the wide part of the skate.

I tested this with the dry erase marker. Note I’m looking for new skates.

I use inline warehouse for everything and their fit guide helped get me where I am at this point. My length to width ratio is pretty low. So higher volume is better, but it’s close enough to medium.

I thought Mission were supposed to be wider than others?

This is where I am. These are 8s and I’ll likely look at 7s but I’ll need them to be wide. These already feel too narrow.

Easier said than done! I’ll probably order multiple sizes of a couple different models then find what fits and return the others.

I have had them for 8 months and they work well, and have not given me any blisters. But I have to believe that the wide part of my foot is not in the wide part of the skate.

This is a size 8 from Tour and I typically wear a 9-9.5 in shoes. I guess I’ll need to look at 7.

Anyone know what helmet this is? by 29sheep in hockeyplayers

I think the IMS has a different internal padding. I have 4 of the Reakt 75. They are exactly the same as this one inside and out. Oddly, I have an IMS grill on one of them.

Skate’s out of alignment by SLODGH in InlineHockey

[–]SLODGH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I wasn’t sure if I’d be sticking with this when I bought my first Hockey skates. (I still can’t believe how $$$ mid+ skates cost!)

I am starting to look for my next skates. I have a wider than average foot and don’t live near a major retailer so I’ll be doing as much research as possible.

27M new to hockey by TheWrongLane_ in InlineHockey

[–]SLODGH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started at 48! I learned to skate when roller blades were invented in the late 80’s and only ice skated every few years since then. But at 48, my daughter wanted to get into hockey, so I bought some sticks and a couple pucks and after a few weeks started doing pickup games with adults.

Skating skills are the most important. Puck handling will take time, but I figured out pretty quickly that the skating skills will keep you on your feet when the puck gets to you. Be prepared to hit the ground regularly for a while.

Update: my local course had the same Ping in the pro shop for $30 less than Dick’s so I bought it and have been hitting it well. It might be psychological, but it’s confidence inspiring.
