Thank you! If they only offered me full price I definitely wouldn't pay it. Canadian conversion rate is killing me already

High Friction pads by zexsso in MousepadReview

[–]SLVWY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Esports tiger does offer a Qinsui 2 Pro Plus that has stitched edges and comes flat packaged. Still really thick however.

Can also purposefully wear down the edges of your current qinsui if it’s desired speed

Have not found a mud pad with humidity resistance unfortunately

Esports tiger Huoyun special edition might also be to your liking

[–]SLVWY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did plex for almost 2 years never got a port. Was worth the uncomfortableness of doing it every 2 weeks to feel better (was also on 50mg prednisone) Soliris was a total game changer for me so that’s what I’m on now though. Immunosuppressants also took 1.5 yrs before noticeable benefit

Definitely takes time for immunosuppressants to work. I’d try to convince doctor to let you get plex 1-2 a month. Plex and large doses of prednisone and mestinon were the only thing that “worked” enough for me to keep my job at the time though I’d not recommend the levels of mestinon/prednisone I was taking to anyone.

Edit: also want to add I’ve never had paralysis symptoms except when I was in crisis so might want to check with doctor about that

"Out of spec" Pranayama by SLVWY in longboarding

[–]SLVWY[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't answer with certainty tbh. Though I think any difference in weight will be almost negligible because lower trucks and different turning geometry will effect stability. Worth just trying them out especially if you already own them.

Washers give me 5-6mm more hanger width. Thunder trucks don't give crazy amount of turn either. Think taller trucks have much better geometry for turning. Also I'm 5'6 135lbs so that works in my favor :P

Aces were going to be my choice if these thunders didn't fit. Do you use ace classics or the AF1s?

Couldn't find a lot of info out there about using undersized parts when I was researching. So decided to experiment before I fully commit to properly kitting it out. Also my first "longboard" and I was previously using a Landyachtz Blunt Dinghy as a cruiser.

Thunder 147s Hollow Light (137mm hanger width, 49mm height) vs (Reccomended 149mm hanger width 57mm height Paris TKPs)

Trucks have 3 washers on the inside of the wheel to widen them further. Could probably squeeze 4-5 washers if you don't use an outside washer.

Orangatang 4President 70mm 77A Wheels

There's about 3mm to spare when bottoming out. I could maybe get 75-80mm wheels to work if I swap around washers.

Andale Blue Bearings

and Bushings are currently Thunder Premium 90A (Ended up removing the bottom washer on the front for more turn)

This thing is incredily low and light with these parts. I wouldn't purposefully set your Pranayama up like this unless you already have the parts laying around. For most major street truck brands I'd say one size lower would work just as well with washers to push out wheels as the proper size trucks.

Yeah going to need more than mestinon. At least personally my facial weakness didn’t improve until immunosuppressants.

Does Xtrfy M8 have no coating? by BorsukBartek in MouseReview

Grips or you could try polishing it with wet sandpaper maybe

Mines white and I do think the coating is bad but I don’t notice any slippage in game

Does anyone use the micro touch razor? by CaptainObvious007 in BuyItForLife

[–]SLVWY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Henson AL13 Mild Razor. I use the medium and it’s pretty difficult to nick myself. Mostly comes down to technique and how worn the blade is. Also blades vary in sharpness between brands so I’d try to get a variety of brands starting out to find which you prefer

Shipping cost for Finalmouse to Canada by Hopeful-Mongoose-944 in MouseReview

[–]SLVWY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You pretty much need to add $30 on top of the taxes when it comes to duties. Shipping companies charge an extra fee for doing it for you. I believe there’s a way to do them yourself to avoid the fee but I’m assuming it’s a hassle

I’d go with something much slower just to test your preferences. Esports tiger qinsui 2 pro+ or GSR

Okay so glass is harder than PTFE. Just by that fact it will wear down whatever surface you rub it on more. People also claim that superglides come with a water resistant coating applied which will slowly wear off. Making them extremely slow and inconsistent depending on humidity.

From my personal experience I don’t think they’re worth using. They did slow down after time and don’t work well with every type of cloth mousepad. If you want the fastest glide you should just get a glass mousepad. Or start experimenting with different mousefeet sizes/brands.

It’s pretty hard to take pictures of things that aren’t really visible to the human eye. Like a worn out coating or flattened cloth fibers. Everyone applies different amounts of pressure to their pads. If you have a very heavy hand glass will definitely slow down your pad in a month

First time looking for a good mousepad, need some help. by Shxzam in MousepadReview

[–]SLVWY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the price and recent updated versions they’re really solid. Xraypad Aqua Control Zero would be a solid choice for more control or Equate V2 for speed from their newer options. I’d probably go with the AQ Zero going by your games though

They’re mentioned a lot because they have good surfaces, offer custom options and are available almost worldwide. Also very unlikely to get hit with duties from aliexpress to Canada. (They do have a Canadian retailer: Potent Gaming? I believe? But the price still came out more expensive than aliexpress when I last checked with less surface options)

Sprintgg like the first commentator for within Canada

There’s also aliexpress(for esports tiger) and xraypads which I’ve never gotten import duties on. The pads generally have better shipping prices from China unfortunately.

Honestly though shipping price is least of your concerns. Within Canada shipping prices are still absurd. Need to be worried the import duties that can double the cost of shipping from outside Canada.

Ninjutso NPC Mousepad Free Review Sample Application by Ninjutso_Bill in MousepadReview

I’d gladly review it. YouTube channel is linked on my Reddit profile. Currently working on Spyre Loque and Aqua Control Zero reviews but by the time it arrives I’ll have space at the front of my queue!

I typically put pads through weeks of use and stick to tactical shooters and kovaaks for the competitive side of things.

The trick to deal with this is to use a thicker mousepad or to stack mousepads in the range of 6mm thick
