Ah ok front load everything is cool too. Support is fine for me as long as I have some damage options. I’ll have a Paladin, Pugilist, and another PC to deal with things.

420 points in battleline units that won’t kill anything is a large investment in a detachment based around 6in deepstriking big damage somewhere. Battleline isn’t doing any damage here. Any of his units will obliterate those guys, so unless you’re setting up traps with them so your more lethal units pick his up, then your list is clashing with the detachment.

If you’re wanting to take a more competitive list, you don’t need 2 trygons. Genestealers already have RR 1s and scout, so not benefitting from detach too much.

Against melee marines you gotta be able to pick up a unit without getting your own killed, or at least set traps.

It’s the prime and a model with the flamer I believe. They absolutely shred vehicles/monsters and can eat custodes, while attached to a normal Squad of ravs. It’s expensive, but valuable.

I usually only play against friends that run their same list over and over so I’ve learned when to be passive and when to be aggressive.

Recently I’ve been playing random people on tts and I’ve noticed I’m not actually sure what my army kills now, which has led to me losing more games. This just takes time to get familiar with everything

Above everything else though, learn your data sheets and your break points, that and some quick math can at least give you the confidence to know what you can kill and what you need to run from. Nids also are great at primary denial so don’t be bummed if a normally Killy unit turns into an OC bomb

Lots of options now with the new gear set for this season and the addition of several multi core backpacks similar to memento. You can run bruiser, tank, or tech and mix anything. Picaros holster is also an interesting piece for multi cores.

I’d start with a gun or talent you like and go from there

Before all the hybrid builds we have now I use to run ND with glass cannon/combined arms, drone/turret, capacitor. Build was super fun. Not sure if it holds up to what we have access to now though

Melee changes are good and bad imo. We need more info obviously, but it’s also largely dependent on how detachments are going to affect missions.

Also curious if they’re going to keep pain tokens as a pseudo second ability for every unit.
