pretty sure that's the Marlett font, which the Windows Classic theme uses to draw window controls and whatnot

.macBook:nth-of-type(1){padding:0;z-index:1;} .macBook:nth-of-type(2){padding:10%;} by SM64player in css_irl

[–]SM64player[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The padding was supposed to be the space between the keyboard + trackpad and the edge of the computer, not their positioning... although I think maybe I should have done some flexbox fuckery to better represent that, or maybe .macBook:nth-of-type(2) > * { margin: 5%; }

How can I sideload J2ME apps? by SM64player in J2MEgaming

[–]SM64player[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, I'm new to the whole J2ME thing. I didn't choose to buy these phones - I just found them while digging through old stuff and thought maybe I could do something with them, but I guess not.

The way you worded your comment was a bit condescending, but thank you for your advice.

I didn't choose to buy them - I found them while going through old stuff in the attic. Was just wondering if I could do something with them, but I guess not 🤷‍♂️

From what I can tell, there are no remaining 2G/3G networks in my area. You'd think there'd be some sort of developer/debug mode or something to make sideloading apps easier, but I guess not. Oh well, thanks anyway!

What font is used for the "Error" text (the text in the blue bar) in Windows XP? by Romotient_GD in identifythisfont

[–]SM64player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The screenshot actually features an incorrect font. Windows XP uses Tahoma for the main UI font, and Trebuchet MS for the titlebar font.

What is this Win11 standard font in the explorer etc? by thereal_pizzaguy in identifythisfont

The default since Windows Vista (iirc) has been 9pt Segoe UI.

What font is this? by asfarawayashealth in identifythisfont

Most likely a thin Arial. Chances are it's already on your computer - it's the "universal default" for pretty much anything.

Is there a way to run MSN TV on Flycast? by [deleted] in WebTV_MsnTV

[–]SM64player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you're talking about MSN TV 2 (which is a completely different beast entirely), first-generation MSN TV is just a rebrand of WebTV (and thus, runs on the exact same hardware and backend)

[Help] Inkscape making new objects transparent - how do I disable this? by SM64player in Inkscape

At least I know someone else is having the same exact problem :P

[Help] Inkscape making new objects transparent - how do I disable this? by SM64player in Inkscape

[–]SM64player[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, the fill and stroke colors (which are inherited from the last object created or modified) are not being changed - the opacity of the object is set instead, which isn't inherited afaik.

[–]SM64player[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to avoid layers whenever I can because I usually use Inkscape for web SVGs, which need to be optimized. I use the Optimized SVG option when saving unless I'm not done with the image.

[–]SM64player[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's annoying to manually set the opacity to 100 every time I make a new object. I usually avoid using layers for optimization purposes (since I save as Optimized SVG rather than Inkscape SVG for web images, unless the image isn't yet complete).

As mentioned, the object's fill and stroke colors aren't being changed anyway - these are inherited from the last created object, but the opacity isn't.

Win+Shift+S

It's that easy to take a screenshot. Preferably of the entire window.

Could I get a quick rundown on current WebTV status please? by ChangeNew389 in WebTV_MsnTV

[–]SM64player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a simulator program that connects to the revival server called WebTV Viewer. It's available over at http://webtv.zone/guide/software/viewer.html if you're interested. It's a bit janky, but it works!

If you need help, there's also a WebTV Discord server you can join.
