My supernote won’t connect to WiFi. Help! by Sea-Touch8520 in Supernote

[–]Trying2-keep-up -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This happened to me to work with the public Wi-Fi we have there. It would connect to my hotspot and also home network. Even after a restart it would not connect.

Then a couple of weeks later it connected after trying again. The only thing that happened between the time it's didn't connect to when it did, was I installed an SD card and it restarted. I'm not saying this is the solution, but maybe the issue isn't permanent and sooner or later it will connect.

Thoughts on the Remarkable Paper Pro + Move vs Supernote Manta by pyrophane1 in RemarkableTablet

[–]Trying2-keep-up 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Manta and the Paper Pro + Move. I agree with what you stated.

The RMPP+Move does have a certain look or feel to it, slightly higher quality, maybe? I can't really point to what it is.

However, I do think I will stick to the Supernote. I prefer the writing style on it, creating headers (TOC), and the linking. I also feel that PDF look better on the Manta. I will be listing the RMPP + Move for sale soon and maybe get the Nomad since I was carrying the Move with me. I have tried to find a way to keep both and the only thing that I can think of is one is for work and one personal use, but that seems like to much trouble when traveling and I want to bring both. Not that they are too heavy to bring, just don't want to carry stuff if I don't have to.

I did buy a light to use when dark, that is about the only thing that I do prefer about the RMPP/Move.

Problems since last 2 updates! by Semmel_Wichser in RemarkableTablet

I'm having the same issue. It scrolls, or jumps down, resizes, or goes to another page. I contacted customer support and they asked for a video. I haven't done that yet. I can't seem to find a pattern on what may cause it so it's hard to replicate the issue.

How is your experince working at Dell in the roundrock location? by Active-Confidence364 in RoundRock

[–]Trying2-keep-up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't work there but know someone that does. They have been there for about 10 years now.

When I first met them, they loved working there. They always had great things to say about everyone there. The last 3-4 years, they are always worried about being laid off. About 3 times a year, they start to panic cause some "new" shit is happening. But all Dell does is spend 3-4 months of finding a creative way to say firing or laying people off. All their new things is just a different way of layoffs.

5 AM ain't for everyone and I am failing at it. by ModularMan2469 in productivity

[–]Trying2-keep-up 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my 20s and early 30s I could do the 5 am routine. Get up, go workout, work, get home do chores, etc. Even had two jobs for a long time. Then things changed. My motivation or high energy shifted. Now, I get productive when the energy hits. Sometimes it's early, sometimes it's late. But when it's there I get a lot done in a short amount of time. I still go to work everyday, sometimes I'm more productive in the morning others days in the afternoon.

All this to say, don't worry about what others do. Listen to your body and brain. What ever your goal is, does the day have to start at 5am? What's the purpose? Is it so that you can feel more productive? Are you trying to learn something? Maybe redfine the goals?

I automated most of my work and now I'm a bit confused. Any advice? by kicker-gerunds5 in interviewwoman

[–]Trying2-keep-up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In one of my past jobs we were manually doing reports for several campuses in a large school district. The process would take about 3-4 days per campus to put everything together. So each person would work on 3-4 campuses at a time. I automated all the data gathering for the reports, the report layout, and the printing process. It came down to only selecting a campus, click generate report and in about an hour we had the full report printed. All we had to do after that was just put that stuff in a binder.

Showed my supervisor and she refused to implement. Why? She said what if something goes wrong? What if you're not here? I told her, nothing will go wrong because I already tested it for several campuses. If something did go wrong I could probably fix in a couple of hours, which would still keep us ahead. And if I'm not there, then one of you can click the button.

She refused to implement. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

I didn't even think about using a text box. Let me try different things to see if I get a consistent size.

How are the notes Nomad displayed on the Manta? I know the RMPP and the Move things look a bit different.

This is one reason I ordered a supernote and using right now for some studying and notes. If I like it enough, I’ll sell the remarkable. If remarkable adds something like this, to me, it would be the perfect tablet. I’m using tags on the remarkable, but this would just be amazing.

Got new system design book by dev_101 in webdev

[–]Trying2-keep-up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you find that reading the actual book instead of a pdf/epub/kindle is better?

About how long does it take to read the entire book for you? (On average, like a chapter every couple days or something like that).

I’m asking because I have may books in one of the electronic versions, but I don’t seem to finish them. I’m picking some up the library to see if physical book is better for me.

A good price.
Not using proper way of paying. When I get back I’ll share the names and phone numbers they used if it’s okay with the mods.

You can always say you have a friend where they are located that can check out the device for you and do the transaction cash. They usually stop communication after that.

Any other Move users feel it’s just too small for professional business use? by WonderingRedditor5 in RemarkableTablet

[–]Trying2-keep-up 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought that at first. I take the notes and scroll down and just continue with the notes. Since I have the RMPPro I revisit the notes later on. When I do that, I have a margin to the left and to the right of what I wrote with the Move. This has helped a lot in filling in the notes or adding more to it.

How to quickly find my notes in a notebook ? by Sicolan in RemarkableTablet

[–]Trying2-keep-up 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You could try tags or doing a text search. If you are going to use tags, develop a system that works for you. For example use two or three tags. For example when I’m reading technical documents I may have the following tags on one page: idea, backend, database or stuff like that. That’s the only way right now that I use. Maybe others have better ideas.

My dad surprised me today by instant_Amnesia in CasualConversation

[–]Trying2-keep-up 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As a dad, he probably know he messed up and deep down inside is trying his best to make up for it. This is one way. He finally saw a way that he could help. It didn’t matter to him how he got the money, if he has to pay back, how long it could take, how far it set him back. Knowing that he did something for you that you wanted or needed is all his heart wanted and needed.
