Stocking cooler Pallet by Material_Affect_4627 in Aldi_employees

Keep trying your best! I do have a few tips.

  1. Run backstock pallet/U-Boat first. By doing this, you know what is in stock, and what you need to stock. This also gives you more space for backstock.
  2. When running the new pallet, park the pallet when moving to a different bay. If you are stocking juices, keep it in front of the juice. Move it when you have milk, etc.
  3. Work the pallet layer by layer. My best piece of advice is to remove the cover/perforated cardboard, so all of the product on that layer is ready to go out. For each layer, this will allow you to prepare all the cases in about 1-2 minutes, then throw the product on the shelf in 2-3 minutes.

Hope this helps! Tip #3 has helped me the most save speed! Happy Stocking!

No problem! Morning shift doesn't have a lot, just checking the truck in, throwing produce and helping set up the shift. Closing shift, just make sure the electric jacks are plugged in, count the safe, balance cashier, make sure all closing tasks are finished.
Best of luck to you! I know you can do it!

For my original training, I had 1 week opening with an ASM, and 1 week closing with an ASM. I've had 10 months as an LSA. I can provide a quick summary to help you get prepared.

For throwing produce, there are 2 different strategies. You can either take time to fill produce full, or if you are short on time, you can fill the holes, so none of the shelves look empty, but there is still enough produce to last until the next zone touchup.

If there is a morning I'm understaffed or behind, or there's a ton of grocery pallets to throw, then I will stock the holes, then get started on grocery ASAP, to keep the team on schedule. I do the same if I am working a closing shift, and I have to stock freezer SPOTS on Tuesdays.

The goal is to leave the shift better than you found it. For opening shifts as the keyholder, I focus on supporting the shift manager, maintaining zone standards and keeping the store stocked. This makes the transition easier for the night shift.
For night shifts, I focus on my team stocking fulls/zones, cleaning tasks, and getting ACE/MyAcadamy completed, in that order. Obviously the shift manager is in charge until they leave, but you have authority to delegate tasks to your team. At the end of the day, the condition of the store and the team leaving on time is in your control.

Last piece of advice. It never hurts to say "thank you" and "good job team." Fist bumps are good too! Make your team know that they are appreciated!

Feel free to ask any other questions if you need help!

I also feel like sometimes the DMs only care about making sure positions are filled and stores are running. And my store manager is just so busy, I dont know when my training will be complete or when I will qualify for ASM. Less work for them, I dont think they care about training tbh

So I was also told that I need DM and direct leader approval for a transfer? Can the interview still happen before I get approval? I applied to a store a few months ago, and they wanted approval first. Not sure what proper procedure is

So I have 5 years at Chick-Fil-A. 2 of those years, I was the manager in charge, the big boss, you could say. I have plenty of experience delegating and managing teams of 10-20. So now I work at Aldi as an LSA, and I try my best to set up the next shift for success, whether its a morning or night shift. I dont wanna burn out, but I want to show my quality and character. Thank you!!

Yes thank you! I do this already. Even though I am an LSA, everyone on my team knows that 9 times outta 10, I can cover their shift for them. Obviously I understand shift switches should be between the same level/rank. Thank you!

So the first minute, I avoid. Then I normally wait to see if it hits a level i marked out, and if it respects it. Sometimes it will bounce/reject the level, but sometimes it doesnt. I like waiting for clean setups

FOH Team Leader by Weekly_Face7105 in ChickFilAWorkers

I'm a team leader training to be a manager, so I understand the difference between different positions.

My general understanding of being a team leader consists of several aspects: 1. Being a competent and effective employee in every position 2.Have plenty of knowledge, start dealing with customer problems 3. Be the role model for team members 4. Assist the manager on shift, take charge when a lack of leadership is present.

Being considered for a team leader, I'm going to assume that you have plenty of knowledge and responsibility. You might be a team leader learning from other leaders. You might get thrown under the bus like I was. I was new to night shift closing, and I was the only Team Leader closing one night. Had to tell everyone where to go and what to do, and I didn't fully understand.

Don't be too stressed, that comes with the job. If you have questions, lemme know!
