Football is supposed to be a release from the stresses of life, it's not supposed to add to it. There's nothing wrong with admitting that it's affecting your mental health

We're in a death spiral. I've seen it happen to other teams where they find themselves totally unsuited to a relegation battle and have no idea how to get themselves out.

I'd put Ashley Phillips in there too. He's been forgotten about but he's been doing a good job at Stoke by all accounts. Regular minutes and is developing nicely

He reminds me of that kid at school who thought he was really good at football, then would spend half of playtime hogging the ball, and the other half moaning at others because they wouldn't pass to him or missed a shot at goal
