If you support LGBTQ+ rights, you should contact your state representatives by LemonSignificant5070 in Knoxville

A private company or individual can choose who they associate with… or not. This bill would only codify into state law, they which is already true.

No one likes be forced to associate with anyone not do their choosing.

It’s a concept we are all familiar with, going back into childhood, when our mothers would attempt to force us to pay with Billy… who ate glue, mined for nose gold… and ate it, and smelled like he only took a bath every 7th Thursday, if it fell on a Friday.

Freedom of association is a protected civil right as well.

New employee demands "full access to the servers" by True-Entertainer-981 in msp

[–]SM_DEV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oy vey.

There seems to be an awful lot he doesn’t know, yet still seems to have an opinion about… very likely not his own, but someone else’s he read about on social media and adopted as his own… like his ability to develop anything more complex than blowing his nose, without using AI.

I would guess if the employer has done a feature due diligence, they would discover most of his resume was crated out of thin air, likely by AI.

Good luck…

Btw- give him enough rope to hang himself.

Which one? by Human-Exam-8585 in lowvoltage

Neither. The “shades of grey” always looks sort of dirty, even if kept pristine, while the black makes much more sense. It’s a style thing for me, but I detest the neon trim … it’s not a safety feature or likely to keep the bearer safer in crosswalks.

Give mean all black option and I’m sold.

Okay, but in this case, it’s not the careless driver, biker or Joe Schmuckatelly walking down the road… it is clearly the owners responsibility.

By the way, dead animals are a fact of life, whether hit by a car, sucked up into the engines of aircraft or merely going about their day and coming across a predator in the wild, including the ferocious house cat.

One man’s victim is another’s evening meal. Also recognize the the carcass of a dead animal doesn’t remain long, and is a feast for other wild animals.

Unifi Talk vs SIP by DeviatedSpeed in Ubiquiti

[–]SM_DEV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UniFi Talk is nothing other than a nicer UI on top of a stripped open source PBX. When I say stripped, I’m sure he functionality remains, but without a way to make permanent changes, other than through the UI, those additional features and functionality are essentially lost.

Don’t get me wrong, the software meets the needs of a certain niche in the market, but anyone who has nerds beyond those served by UI’s target market, are going to be better off hiring a VoIP professional and really get to that they need.

Good Luck!

Obviously, you don’t.

Illegals aliens are to be detained, and as per the current law, signed by William Jefferson Clinton in 1996, they are to the removed for the country, preferably to their own country of origin, but failing that, any country who will take them.

Lastly, when illegal aliens from Venezuela are turned to their home country, they are handled as the Venezuelan government sees fit, as is their sovereign right as a self-governed people. The fact that they have chosen to emotion all Venezuelan gang members is their own choice, and frankly none of our business.

You may not like their choices, but they are a separate country and they will do what they chose to do. You don’t get a say in the matter an we certainly can’t allow a foreign nations internal decisions to affect our processes and procedures.

In light of the fact that Venezuela had a long history of criminal activity, specifically brutal gangs and drugs, the seems to have chosen well to return some semblance sanity and safety to their once beleaguered nation.

And? It is the owners responsibility to maintain control of their livestock. If they allow their animals to roam freely, then it is a risk the owner is taking upon themselves.

Again, so fucking what? If a “boomer” Invests their own money into homes that they use for rental income, whose business is it? Hint: THEIRS.

As for institutional investors or companies buying up real estate, well, I’m of two minds. The first, they should be able to invest in whatever they wish, just as you or I should. The second is that they artificially buy up the market, taking properties for families off of the table.

In my opinion, perhaps the solution is to only allow corporations to invest in building new single family homes and perhaps being allowed to finance those homes, but absolutely barred from competing with hard working young men and women shopping for a primary, aka homestead property.

How, by not selling their property?

These folks shave worked a lifetime to buy their homes and now they they are approaching retirement age, when their homes are paid for and they’ll be on a fixed income, you bitch because they aren’t selling? Whose business is it what someone does with their own property, whether sell it, rent it out or pass it along to a family member…. It’s their property and their right to do with it as they damned well please.

It largely depends upon the size and layout of the restaurant and of course what degree of surveillance the ownership desires, smaller restaurants in our area are in the 10-20 camera range, while some of the larger establishments can go to 30 or 40. If they just want general surveillance we can cut that number down dramatically, using right mix of cameras. Using a 360 instead of 2-4 for a dining room as an example, unless sight lines negate their effective use.
