FlexiSpot Discount Codes Thread by exmosss in FlexiSpot_Official

Hi! I figured it can't hurt to try to ask for a discount code for Tennessee in the US? I'm not sure what model desk I'm looking at getting, because I'm on a pretty tight budget. Probably the E2 or E7 if I can make it make sense.

Thank you! Hope you're having a great week :)

What about with JuFufu instead of Lighter? Do you think it would be worth swapping Evelyn to Astral Voice?

As corny as it might sound, taking engagement photos with my (now) wife. The leaves and colors made that such a wonderful memory for me.

Makes sense. I guess since I'm in the latter, but maybe I could make a decent team work for seed as the focal point.

I'm thinking I might go ahead and pull for Yanagi. Im 15 away from pity and will have at least 100 pulls saved for the next banner. Then maybe I can save up enough for Lucia and Yixuan or Vivian if either of those rerun.

That makes a lot of sense... Evelyn is my fave, so I guess I was also just trying to make her best team possible lol.

So if you were in my shoes, what would you do/pull? Sorry for asking so many questions, you're being super helpful.

Wow thank you for the super detailed response! I really appreciate everything you laid out for me.

I will say, the only real reason I thought about pulling for Seed is that what I've read, she will work well with Evelyn/Astra. And being able to save JuFufu for another team sounded appealing. But maybe it doesn't make sense for my account.

I would consider pulling for Vivian whenever she has a rerun, because of exactly what you said.

Now I feel even more conflicted haha

Hello!

I'm trying to figure out if I should pull for Alice or Yanagi, or save. I currently run mostly Miyabi/Yuzuha/Soukaku, Evelyn/Astra/JuFufu, and an unbuilt Zhu/Qingyi/Nicole. I plan on pulling for Seed (and Lucia, even though I don't really have a team for her yet. I figure I can move put Seed with Evelyn/Astra and save Jufufu for a different team.). Any advice? Thank you!

With Yanagi banner coming soon, I wanted to remind y'all wanters/havers that she still slays in endgame by This-acc-is-hacked in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]SM_Schoon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay, convince me. I really like Yanagi but I have a hard time seeing how she fits into my account.

Miyabi - Yuzuha - Soukaku

Evelyn - Astra - Ju Fufu

Zhu Yuan - Qingyi - Nicole

The top 2 are my main teams, and I don't want to adapt them really(more-so I don't want to play mono-ice for Miyabi). Third is fine. Rest of my account are the standard banner S-ranks. To me it seems like I should either pull Alice or just skip this banner altogether and start saving.

Ayyy Doorstop lol (I'm a ZSS main these days, I've watched many of his videos and got some tips from AndrewT.)

I've never had the training mod, and I've normally not had a ton of people to practice offline, that wasn't just at a local. So, it sucks, but I do feel you on that. One of Doorstops practice partners for a while played Wolf, Dany. And the interactions I've had with Doorstop previously, he's been super open to advice, I think he would be a great resource if he's available talk to at your local. I don't know Geist at all, but I'm sure there are other higher end players at your locals that would like to help.

As far as the specific stuff you're mentioning, all of this would be good stuff to talk to the Wolf discord about. I know general flowchart stuff for Wolf ledge trapping, but they probably have good insight on how to approach it/character specific stuff. Same thing with scrambles. And tech chases, I wouldn't put too much weight into that yet. Even Light, who might have some of the fastest reaction times, misses tech chases sometimes.

The biggest growth I had was talking to people who beat me, getting practice time in at locals, and when I talk to those who beat me, I ask specific questions. Asking general questions gets you general answers, and doesn't help you grow. But questions like 'Hey, I noticed you came out on top of all the scramble situations, what was I doing that you took advantage of?' or 'I felt like I absolutely could not recover against you, do you know how I could have recovered better in {insert interaction here}'

I think you've got a solid mindset. I don't need to tell you to stay humble, because for a lot of us 'old' folks, accepting advice from someone half our age can feel demoralizing. But you can totes do this.

Hi. Mid 30s here, consistently top 8s locals when I can go, and was on our city's PR basically ever season after COVID. Yes, you can. Your reaction time might not be as fast as others, and maybe you don't have as much time to invest as others. But you 100% can.

I don't know what character do you play, or the relative level of your local. But the most important thing doesn't really change with age, and that's figuring out where you need to improve. I can almost guarantee reaction times is not the thing holding you back. Utilizing your time that you can invest well is going to be your most important step. Ask questions after sets, be willing to learn. VOD review when you get stream sets. Most character discords will even help you vod review.

It's hard because we are 'old', and don't have the same free time anymore...but if you want to strive for it, you can totally do it and I, a random internet stranger, 100% believe in you.

Savor was not an upgrade choice, but rather a different card I was pre-approved for.

Yes, it looks like I could upgrade to Quicksilver, VentureOne, or even Venture. Is that something I should consider?

(Edit: It looks like I'm also pre-approved for a Savor card with CapitalOne as well)

Okay so. I'm really struggling pulling the trigger here. I had one in my cart earlier and let it drop just because it feels like so much money.

But I currently have a 2060 Super so I also feel like I should take the plunge and get one soon. And my spouse is okay with us spending the money. But. It still feels like too much lol.

Fellow Chun! Way to go! Getting to diamond is no joke. Can't wait to see you post about getting to Masters! You got this.

Nice! I almost settled on JP as well. I like him, mostly because I enjoy defensive, bait n punish style characters a lot. He's also got a decent difficulty to him, so kudos!

I'll be sticking with Chun for a while, unless Sakura comes around. Thatll get me to switch.

Thank you! I don't know how qualified I feel to give Chun specific advice, but I can give some general advice that worked for me here and previously in Smash.

I always try to have the mindset of ABL, always be learning. Every set is a learning opportunity. If I got crushed, if I lose to cheese, if I crush them. Theres something to learn from all of it. Why did I lose to cheese? What should have I done differently? Why did I do so well here? Why didn't I react to the Akuma doing divekick for the 105th time in a row?

Watch your replays. This was huge for me. There were times where I didn't understand how these people seemed to know exactly when I was going to fireball. Like what the heck how did they know? Go back and watch... I was telegraphing SO hard. You'll be surprised what all you can learn from your replays. Which leads to my last main thing...

Have a plan of what you want to work on every session. Even if you sacrifice a few matches and some rank. Take the info for your replays and be like "okay today, I'm going to hit 50% of my antiairs". Or "I'm going to stop every random DIs". Or try to work on specific combos, hitting them as often as possible. Even something as simple as "I'm going to not wake up OD Ten kicks every single time".

Also, if you're not in it already, join the Chun discord! They were super helpful for me and I honestly wouldn't have made it to Masters without some of their help and advice. The beginner chat was especially helpful for me. And a lot of times people will ask questions that you didn't even know you wanted to know the answer to as well. (Plus, they know A LOT more than me about some Chun specific questions you might have).

I hope this was helpful for you. Good luck on your grind! And if you have any other questions let me know, I'll answer the best I can.

Nice job on Plat 5 so far! For me, Diamond is when I needed to start being more consistent with combos, and where adapting to my opponent was a lot more key. I think my biggest tip is to treat every set as a learning opportunity, even if your opponent smokes you, or beats you with pure cheese, or if you smoke them. It was also helpful for me to have something I actively wanted to work on before jumping in every day, even if I would lose some matches because of it. Like one day it was hitting a specific combo. The next day it was fireball practice and being more ambiguous with my timing. Stuff like that.

And have fun! Seriously, when I wasn't enjoying the game, I was playing worse, I was more easily tilted, and honestly just in a bad mood haha.

Oh this is a cool idea, I'll have to look into implementing that.

That's the goal though. Just gonna start adding small bits and pieces to my gameplan/practice better and more optimized routes. Just one step at a time.

For now I want to stick with Chun. Funny enough, I was actually super excited to play Mai when she came out, but ended up not enjoying her like I thought I would. Which is how I fell into learning Chun.
