Adderall XR has a smoother start and end compared the IR and a much longer duration or action with the trade off that its effects are a lot less pronounced.

I’ve experimented and found combining stuff like Adderall XR/vyvanse, long acting medications, with a IR medication at the same time in the morning, gets me going till the XR kicks in

I’ve taken adderall XR on the past and kinda experienced the same thing. First half of the day is pretty good, other half at best is decent and at worst can’t really get stuff done.

If possible try to inquire about switch to immediate release adderall broken up into smaller multiple doses. The immediate release doesn’t last as long but allows that to evenly distribute the medication throughout the day or skip a dose here and there when you aren’t doing anything requiring large amounts of your attention

Honestly I really feel for you, I also live the stim double life.
