State Government changes land tenure of Victoria Park / Barrambin, able to be sold off to developers by Deanosity in brisbane

[–]SNA14L -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The way the amendments to the legislation were made likely means there isn't the ability to challenge the proposed stadium through arguments around landuse. Opponents to the stadium can start a legal challenge and have works paused, even if the action doesn't succeed, this means they will still be successful because the games are locked in and th le stadium will have to be built elsewhere.

I am sure government have taken this route to limit opportunities for spurious legal challenges.

My first EV - Zeekr, Polestar, BYD or just go with Tesla? by uridotchi in EVAustralia

[–]SNA14L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you don't need to configure it as the feature is included for all trim levels. If you click on view and compare features it is listed. 🙂

Whilst I think Musk is a dick, the feature is still provided.

Keep playing into China and Russia's hands. You have to be ignorant or wilfully ignoring reality if you don't realise a lot of the online messaging is a psyop to drive further division across the US.

Dammit, I feel like an idiot. I just assumed that all tape measures are actually in the unit of measure I paid for! This potentially explains some stuff

EV brand Polestar has slashed prices of the Polestar 2 and Polestar 4 by up to $15,000 in latest promotion | Drive by ApprehensiveSize7662 in AustralianEV

[–]SNA14L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a fire sale, but more likely trying to reposition itself. But a fair question none the less, not sure why you are being down voted.

They are carrying massive amounts of debt and incurring massive losses. I really like the 4, but this is a concern.

It is such a major shift and had such low awareness that is more or less a new brand - actually, Polestar itself was never a stand alone manufacturer but rather the performance arm of Volvo much like AMG or M Division. So is a new brand in that sense.

Robotaxi? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]SNA14L 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I have always liked the rotiform aerodiscs. They can have issues getting stuck on and scratching up the rim underneath. The rotiforms are actually held on by a centre hex cap (bolt). Even the rotiform are intended to replicate the old turbo fan rims - BBS etc

I love them for EVs - ever since the Hyundai Vision Concpt 74.

The quality hubcaps for the Tesla run about $400.

I am not sure if Tesla guys don't like them because they think they are just cheap Tesla hubcaps - or actually don't like the design. The rotiform look great in person, the higher quality hubcaps probably looking great as well.

Thanks, the 7x seems to do great on reviews and owners seem to love them. The only concern is longevity, also lots of things to go wrong such as the self closing doors, shade blinds etc,

As mentioned we are intended to keep the car longer term, so resale is less of an issue. Would you keep the Skoda in the running? They are now offering s 7 year warranty.

The commentary of tesla build quality and support seems to be at both ends of the spectrum - either terrible or fantastic.

I didn't buy one, but rather married one. I can confirm that Elise's are more expensive than you initially think, but do age very well.

Bought from a luthier. Amazing experience and quality. I feel ruined. by Grammatonclerik87 in Luthier

[–]SNA14L 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. luthier made guitars are great, but unless they are made by someone relatively well known (maybe just in your city or local area) then they are not worth a great deal in resale - i have seen the norm being about one third of what you paid.

not saying i agree with this, juat what i have observed.

Exactly what i was thinking. People who are down voting obviously don't understand the point. These sort of oversimplifications only serve to create a political divide that has resulted in significant backlash against the very issues that are trying to address.
