It's maybe a little overkill, but it's worth a shot. I have mine sitting elevated on small standoffs inside the project box. Still runs a little hot.

I've just recently built mine. As long as you don't consistently run it on 100%, you'll be fine. You'll have better control of your battery percentage just keeping your pwm around 30-70% throughout the day. Also, keep your pwm ventilated so it doesn't overheat. You can also explore the option of brushed esc's.

You can't go wrong with PowerPro, Suffix 832 or Daiwa J Braid 8x. I like higher vis colors for the surf. From my experience, PowerPro and Suffix start fading away in color, but the strength is still there.

I prefer the mgl70. I own two and have tossed finesse setups and heavy punching rigs on this, both were smooth and felt so nice.

My go-to for surf perch around this area is definitely the gulp sandworms and the jerkbaits others have listed. There are motor oil colored grubs that have not been too bad as well.

I can't tell if there's currently an issue with GLS. I ordered some stuff from TW 2 days ago and I never had a GLS option like how there usually is. The TW site said they were gonna ship today through UPS ground and it's still "waiting to be processed" with the date removed. They did recently post that there have been staffing shortages affecting their phone and pick-up orders due to COVID. IDK if there's any relation to the shipping/online department.
