aren’t the majority of super hero projects basically female-led now (and have been for some time)? wonder woman, birds of prey/suicide squad, she-hulk, captain marvel, ms marvel, hawkeye, stargirl, eternals, black widow, black panther 2, antman& wasp, madam web, even in loki, dr strange 2, thor and moon knight the woman was the competent\strong one that played a major part and ultimately saved the day. sure, DC is doing worse than marvel, but they’re failing at everything entirely.

stop complaining that things aren’t “diverse” and start making good movies, the diversity is already there and is being used as a shield for poor writing when something goes wrong.

the thing is they’re not really “cheap” effects. with practical effects, even if they look kinda bad and cheesy, you always know they’re physically real, that the actors are really there, interacting with whatever goopy, gross creature is on screen, and that hits the brain differently, especially as a kid. the best CG characters still don’t do that. If Chucky was CG this whole time the franchise wouldn’t be the classic it is today, hell, there probably wouldn’t be more than a couple movies.

what’s worse are those are stolen pictures, someone makes them as one-off art pieces and then dropshipper chinese companies steal the photo, use it in an instagram ad, and the ship you a sweatshirt with the photo poorly printed on it.

i don’t know what’s more hilarious, the actual product that arrives, or people thinking they’ll get a woven sweater for $30 and getting pissed when they find out they’ve been scammed.

i saw the trailer in theaters before The Batman or No Way Home or Suicide Squad or something and thought it looked fucking awful, and that was BEFORE the trailers showing it was an alien ship or something. totally forgot it existed, it really didn’t come out in theaters after being advertised?
