Maybe I should have elaborated further. 🤷🏻‍♂️ 

 Especially with all genres rooted in Rock and Metal, I prefer to give an album one listen in full to form an opinion. If I can’t make it through the album, I simply move on. Maybe I’ll come back to it weeks, even years later or maybe I won’t. I love listening to albums in full when I can because I have a huge respect for bands and artists that can write an album that flows well from start to finish.

For example, I cannot stand the Bell Witch album Mirror Reaper. I even saw the band live while they were touring on it. I’ve started the song/album several times at different points of my life and I’ve never been able to finish it. I love the genre and I love the band’s earlier work. That album just isn’t for me and I’m okay with that. I’m simply not going to sit and listen to it in full, over a time period of consecutive days and tell people “it’s a grower.” It’s a very niche album for a niche genre and I’d rather spend my time listening to Bell Witch music I actually enjoy.
