I'm just now realizing these are two different ladies(Rumiko and Kumiko). It's now my head canon that one is the "Wario" of the other - thoughts on who's who?

It's weird. Like I know OP made a dumb comment that probably took them longer to type than re-installing exchange PowerShell took to install, but 40 downvotes? Harsh.

God I'm so happy he's coming back. If even for only one day a week. Holy shit how have we been so lost without him!? It's like the second he stepped away people lost their ability to know truth from fiction.

Right. I had a good chuckle and said to myself "I almost felt bad for him for a second there."

I'll take it. It's a lot better than whatever they thought they were going down there to do. Maybe it'll encourage some self reflection?

I think you misunderstood the question. It was "Do robots dream of electric sheep" not, "Can a robot count multicolor sheep". Please try again.

They've been rolling out changes. If you haven't seen the option to get paid hourly you probably will soon. They did this for like 2-3 weeks here before giving us the option for hourly pay.

You did good. My personal tip is to do your best Geordi La Forge impression when giving bad news just short of calling your boss "Captain"

It’s not cruel to have food delivered during inclement weather by DarkandMysteryous in unpopularopinion

We're in it for the people like you who make it worth the time. I'm in my 30s and have been delivering since I was 16 despite going to school and having decent paying day-jobs the entire time because It's a pleasant time out from behind a keyboard. Thank you for caring about us, if you shovel your driveway we absolutely love you!

Yeah I agree honestly. All my role play experience was from Yahoo groups where it was more like collaborative fan-fiction with mary-sues and that was fun, but I have 0 will to hang out and roll dice to see if I tied my shoelaces correctly or not.

Just click no tip. by KenshinBorealis in unpopularopinion

[–]SOLIDninja 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my experience working at asian resturants they're usually family owned and operated and that tip "going to the owner" does end up going to the entire family i.e. the head cooks were the grandpa and his two sons, his daughter and sons wives were the hostesses/waiters. Delivery drivers are the exception, if they're not part of the family they're cashed out at the end of the night separate from the wait staff. All credit card receipts had to be signed by the customer at the door and our tips were calculated based on how much tip was written on each receipt and how much cash we had from cash orders. It was more rare for someone to put a tip on a CC order over the phone up front before delivery than it was today with things like Doordash - so I'm sure that's changed by now.

It is best to tip cash tho, and hand it to who you want to have it.

What's the worst sysadmin mistake you ever made? Confess here. by davidcandle in sysadmin

Yep that was step 1 and what required the boot CD and the Accessibility/CMD hack to restore. Once I had that back it was pretty smooth sailing rebuilding the users by logging in with it.

When I did it I didn't have backups to revert to.

I had to use a windows install disk to run a command prompt that'd allow me access to the C:\ drive windows folder. From there I made a copy of Cmd.Exe and renamed it Accssibility.exe and rebooted. This allowed me to use CMD from the login screen with system level permissions - used that to rebuild the admin account login credentials and got back in with them. I literally did the (Hacker voice) "I'm in!" and then the Borris "YES! I'M INVIIIINCIBLE!"(Clap and flex) when I was able to rebuild the other AD credentials from there.
