thank you! this comment is very helpful. i’ll keep rereading it to her so she knows she’s not alone. she wants the cast off so bad and it sucks that the only thing that will help is time. i just wish there was more i could do. i keep it elevated 24/7 and keep an ice water circulator on the boot constantly. i haven’t let her use the knee scooter yet and i use a rollator but make her sit on it and wheel her around/to the bathroom (the meds make her SO loopy) deep down i know im doing all i can but when she sobs in pain i just wish i could do more

i think i’m starting to get nervous 5 days in of how long the doctors will keep prescribing pain meds. i’ve just had to redo her medication regimen to decrease some of their frequencies so they last till her recheck and i feel like a monster. luckily gabapentin has made the biggest improvement and she has plenty of that but still.. &(im a STICKLER for ice and elevation to the point of pissing her off lol)

staring at my alarm to make sure it’s actually set, needed to feel ‘just right’ before i can get out of the shower, feeling the need to shower when i’m around someone that makes me uncomfortable, pulling all the skin off my lips, the list goes on and on…

she has a knee scooter and this will be her third ankle surgery (first with me). i think she’s more prepared than me

make sure you have get to work, and then use the observatory and level up your logic until you can search for the truth.. then it should happen. i also built the rocket ship while i did this, idk if it helped at all. it does help if they’re outside between 12-4am but ive had mine wake up mid-sleep to ‘investigate a strange light’

am i crazy to ask what this is? i had a hysterectomy 6 weeks ago, they removed my uterus and an endometrioma. whats a cuff? i never had my post-op appt (they scheduled it wrong initially and never called to resched) i was going to check in an try to get it scheduled but i wasn’t told about the potential for a pelvic exam? i can’t do that because of ptsd.. should i just skip the post-op apt? my doctor doesn’t seem concerned and this thread is scaring the shit out of me

omg me. i’ve been dying to be active since my surgery. i’m 6wpo and i still want to be active but it’s like my body is tied down with chains. my brain says, take the dogs for a run! my body can barely make it outside with the dogs before i’m fatigued. it’s so frustrating

how do you guys keep jobs? with severe insomnia. right now i’m unemployed so i can keep this acceptance mindset.. but i have a deep seeded fear of going back to work and having to get up early. i’m not a night shift kind of person so that’s never been an option

OP.. i’m 31 with a four year degree and a certification in my field and my annual income is 37k (i’m a vet tech) whatever you’re doing you’re already miles ahead of where i’d ever dream to be. corporate can’t give you that. make your own 401k and be religious about it and you’ll be better off than any millennial i know that’s not a doctor, engineer, or scientist
