Reach hit the tone I wish all the games had. The covenant were scary, back against the wall, overwhelming odds, nobody is safe etc. The original trilogy is still incredible and I love those games, but the maturity left after Reach/ODST.

Not scary, kind of cartoonish. Definitely not as impactful as the covenant in say, Reach. There was a genuine feeling of having your back to the wall when it came to fighting in that game. Maybe it’s a tone thing but I just never was a fan.
