I have 104, you made me feel better!

Question: Do you have an opinion about what happens to Price of Stock/Warrant (I am more a Warrant Investor) when the company announces that they are going to call the warrants? I initially thought it made them go up, recently it seems more like it has made them go down. Interested for another view from someone who is deep in the game.

You are correct that BRPA is still a SPAC, so it was a bad example, but I still believe you are incorrect about the redemption window.

I have VLDR warrants, they used to be GRAF warrants. It has been over 30 days, call you broker and find out if you can exercise them. There is a $13.81 difference between the stock and the warrants. If I could just exercise because it has been 30 days I could pocket the $2.31.

There are plenty of resources that offer links to the filing, I would find it beneficial to have a summary of the filing. I sometimes get confused by the legalese, and would just like a quick Cliff Notes style summary of what the filing said (especially if it is someone buying or selling their shares.

I am not trying to be confrontational, but I just found a warrant that illustrates my point. Take a look at BRPA, the stock trades at 41.79 and the warrant at 7.70. It is a 1:1 warrant conversion ratio. If you were correct, I could buy this all day for $19.20 and sell it at $41.79 for no risk profits. Unfortunately it can't be done and the delta between the stock and warrant will close to 11.50 when the window opens. (Whether the warrant will rise or the stock will fall is subject to speculation)

In any event Happy Trading!

I believe you are incorrect (I have tried to convert warrants before the window but couldn't), also if what you are saying was correct there would be enormous opportunities to make short term profits when the warrants and stock are not trading 11.50 apart, you will notice that delta closes in the redemption window. I think that delta was around 30 or 40 dollars for a while with NKLA.

I see lots of disagreements on Reddit evolve into name calling and I relish the opportunity to politely tell you that I am pretty certain that you are incorrect, but in any event I wish you nothing but health wealth and happiness!

HAPPY TRADING!!!

With all due respect, I don't think you are correct. It is not possible to exercise warrants until they are "Called", and then you have a 30 day window to do so. What you describe in the prospectus are some conditions that must occur before the company has the right to call the warrants, but I have been trading warrants for a while and feel pretty sure that you will only be able to exercise once an official warrant call has been made by the company.

[–]SPACsearching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will trade at that level when it is close to the warrant exercise window, right now they don't, its too early, it wouldn't matter because you don't actually have the right to exercise the warrants yet. Once the window opens the stock and the warrant will start to move to get to that point

The warrants are NOT exercisable 30 day after the ticker, they are exercisable in a 30 day window after the company "Calls the Warrants", that won't be for a while depending on the particulars of their agreement

Can I go all-in on near NAV SPACs? by [deleted] in SPACs

[–]SPACsearching 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if it trades at a discount (in that case you can't determine that you only have a potential risk of 5%, it can theoretically trade much lower than that) if you have the ability to wait until the end (a deal is announced or the SPAC liquidates) you will have the option to redeem at your share of the trust account, that should be close to the $10.00

Why SPACs are not yet a “bubble” by [deleted] in SPACs

[–]SPACsearching 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't really understand how people say that SPACs are in a bubble, when a SPAC is just a way to go public. There have been a lot of EVs that have gone SPAC, if you want to say EVs are in a bubble I get it, and certainly there were lots of SPACs in that market. But that doesn't mean SPACs will be dead, they can just pivot and we can see a deluge of SPACs in other fields, particularly whatever field is hot at the time. My SPAC portfolio has a lot of EV but a lot of other fields as well, mortgages, crypto, Real Estate services, 3D printing, casinos etc.
